You mean the ones you can't throw if someone is wailing on you? Not sure they have a lot to say. Considering the 50 point LP cost and the enemy player still retaining the ability to you know, move away from it (and with lock-on can still face you while doing it), it's not even something I put on loadouts anymore.
You throw them in front of light spamining enemies and on the group a bit before the hit you and then you both die unless you're an eldar as their nade suck. It won't always work but when it dose it is verry satisfying
How is this at all different from the Tac-equivs. When I was a shoota, and I was getting hit by light attacks, I couldn't shoot. At all. It put me into a huuuge recoil animation that was literally longer than the enemy's cooldown on attacking. Soooo... I kinda don't see your point?
I've done it many times, but only BEFORE melee actually starts. Which implies I SAW the enemy coming (which many times, I cannot. Because, you know, melee attacks don't make people appear on the radar, even when they are killing the dude next to you). If I have the time to lob grenades, I have time to shoot. It's really a lateral move for a higher cost.
I'm guessing it's because you actually have a MELEE weapon that you are NOT locked out of? And thusly, able to attempt to defend yourself?
Chaos doesn't have the option for bundles, you can have a frag, krak or melta. I love grenades since they are wonderful zoning tools along with flushing people out of hiding.
If you are a heavy then no you have wasted you're time trying to shoot when you can just lob the nade faster of drop a melta faster. Also you would have to be braced and looking foreward at all times to not see your self being flanked, it's not much effort to look to you're sides or unbrace to look behind you..granted you will be surprised some times but you can generaly see them coming
Welcome to being a Heavy. If you are unbraced, you can suffer SEVERE detriments to weapon use (try a Grav Cannon, Braced and Unbraced. The difference is huge). Some weapons aren't terrible, and can be used in a "pack" style play. Others you can't even be effective unless you are braced. Ever see someone with a Lascannon come into a point to clear the room? Possibly, but you didn't see him for long.
