Came back after a month or two - DBash still feels useless

After having burned out on the beta, and just being disappointed with the release (yeah, I know why; we don't need to discuss it), I thought I'd give this game some time. I spent about two months focusing on class, Guild Wars 2, other stuff.

After two fairly large patches, I come back and things are still pretty... off. Just most notably of all, DBash does not seem to have a use still.

I was a shoota getting attacked by a jump pack assault with a power axe. I manage to predict his movement, Dbash and stun him. Before I can even unload a shot into him, he's unstunned and I'm locked in the shooting (or starting to shoot) animation. Well...fuck me I guess.

Seriously, why is the move even in the game if it doesn't get you anything tactically. You should be rewarded for out-playing your opponent, not forced to suffer longer. Seriously.

This is a known exploit with jump-pack classes. D-bash is now awesome against everything that can't use this exploit

I think Jump classes can still evade out of D-Bash stun, which I believe (and hope) is a bug that'll get resolved.

Against ground based classes, D-Bash works as intended.

They didn't evade out of it. The stun was simply shorter than my "cooldown" period on being able to attack him. As far as I can tell, it's NOT a bug, and just absolutely shoddy and nonsensical design choices. (Or maybe it is a bug brought about by.... some things. I know from experience how odd programs can act at times.)

D-Bash recently got a fix that made it actually work (stun time was lengthened) for Tactical and equivalents.

Did the JPA jump away before you can shoot or did he attack before you could shoot? The former would be the same bug I mentioned (evading out of stun) while the latter could be that Orks need their animations tuned and the recovery sped up.

I said he didn't dodge in my previous post. Granted, I could have said in the original post that he attacked before I could even shoot.

But the fact that it's taken longer than two months for release to even touch on this fairly large-ish issue is astonishing. If it's really an ork-wide problem, I just...don't even... And it's been an issue since pre-launch. So like, 2 and a half months?

It could also be a different bug I've noticed recently, where people will receive what feels like the old stun in terms of duration, even from other melee specialists, allowing them to clang with your first fast attack after the Dbash.

So you're saying they changed the DBash stun to increase it (not disputing this, just trying to be clear; I haven't been here for 2 months), and that through some bug or something, it might have gotten reverted to approximately the old duration?

If that's the case, that's odd, weird, and very irksome.

What I'm saying is that most of the time when you Dbash someone as anything other than a Heavy Weapons class you can get 2 fast attacks or 1 power attack in before they get control of their character back. Sometimes, this is not the case and they can react quicker, as shown in the video. This is clearly not intended, and the duration reminds me of the old duration of Dbash for Tacticals, and the current duration for Heavies.

Edit: I'd also like to add that while the example in the video is indeed with an Ork, I have experienced this also on Chaos and Eldar.
