Can't talk about power fist since I don't even have it unlocked on my marines yet but the power klaw needs a definite buff. They slowed down it's strong attack making it take even longer to down a transport. Used to be my go to for tank busting but now it's just a waste a time. Takes far too long to punch anything to death so you'll get spotted fast and killed mid swing almost every time. Not sure what they were thinking with this change. Klaw is garbage now.
The fist takes about 6 times as long to kill a vehicle as a Multimelta/Krak, Meltabomb/Fusion/Meltagun combo. So what it stuns. Whoop tee doo. The crew "teleports" out of the vehicle behind you, totally silent of course, and stabs or shoots you in the back as you're going to town with your fist. Or you're taking 30 to 45 seconds to destroy a single vehicle with the Fist and it's not like there's 30 various methods for you to be killed with your ass exposed in that one spot for so long. And the fist costs 600/500 LP. Laughable IMO. Buff the Fist so it kills vehicles as fast as Multimelta, reduce the price. Restrict it to Veteran Squad Leader, Heroes and Elites.
What you're saying is craven. Try using a power fist and try to kill a wave serpent when someone is driving in it. You'll be roadkill.
I believe though, if you do land it. The Wave Serpent is stunned. However when I get on my Ork and hit a Rhino, it just slows. I'm not sure if its because Klaws suck or Wave Serpents are meant to get stunned.
It stuns both vehicles if you can get a hit off. Rhino is a lot easier to get around because it can't move sideways, only backwards and forwards. It can easily drive away from a power fist and get away from you since the swing timer for the alt swing is so long, but conversely you can easily get into a static or cornered predator/rhino and get a stun off. Not so with the wave serpent. Very hard to hit. I gave up trying after becoming roadkill 4 times in a row without getting a hit off. I only attack eldar grav tanks when they're parked.
I'm just saying, I have died numerous times vs Powerfists in a serpent because I will spawn and try to move, but I get perma-stunned. Then again Klaws are god-awfully slow.
Ok, I can agree that it needs a vehicle damage only boost, but keep the stun. But it should not destroy vehicles as fast as MM, as the melee weapon is still effective vs infantry and can be put on a mobile unit like JPA. We already saw what it did when it was performing to well in one of it's roles, and it dominated. It is in a good place right now, so I would rather them do small tweeks than way overdue it. Though I would rather not see it limited to Veteran anything. I don't subscribe to this rarity of items in lore for this game as I think it would only have a negative effect.
If they get the hit off then they can stunlock the serpent, yes. It's up to you whether that's a fair trade. If you're driving a serpent for that reason you should really never have it parked or in the same spot. IMO serpent has a lot of advantages in that the driver has a really deadly flying missile with a frontal shooting attack whereas truck/rhino are just kind of tugboats that serve as mobile spawn points. By contrast a predator is pretty well fukt if it gets smacked with a fist. So in that sense, fist isn't really underpowered, it's just useless against wave serpents. Against other tanks it's actually quite powerful.
