Though it seemed to work for SM. Not to mention a bunch of wildly swinging asshats in a confined space is an excellent opportunity for a grenade or getting shot because they don't have lockon and are swinging into a wall.

I think the OP's idea is something that should have been done long ago, I don't even know why it's a "Thing" much like being able to dodge out of DB. What's the point in RPS if it doesn't even play by its own rules?

The ability to dodge after a clang off a Dbash is intended. What is not intended is that when your stun connects and lag lets them roll out of that.

Not that Orks can actually roll after Dbash clangs because ou
The reason behind losing durability on dbash is to simulate the withering blows of heavier weapons on light weapons. Also when Orks had hilarious slow PK not OP fast PK, it made sense that we way you beat dbashers was to power through it because heavy attack was too slow. Since heavy weapons aren't any slower it doesn't make sense game wise, but lore wise, deflecting a superior weapon should be something that is not sustainable.

  3. I realize WHY they do it, and part of me agrees with the philosophy. However this is a game, and games don't necessarily have to make sense(and a lot of things in EC already don't). Leaving the system as it is currently gives a player the sense of "I'm doing everything right, but I'm still going to lose" which is kind of a bad feeling to have.

I would propose a compromise of losing durability loss on successful Dbash RPS wins IN EXCHANGE for upping all durability hits on weapons like 3-5 points than what they currently are so when you DO fuck up and clang it hurts more.

That's why I said: game mechanics wise with their current speed it doesn't make sense, but if they were slower and more ponderous it would.

I was agreeing with you lol

I've never experienced Quick Attack cutting through Defensive Bash.

I have however experienced on a constant basis the opposite, Defensive Bash cutting through Strong Attacks in the wind up which is incredibly frustrating.

Anyways back on track, the main culprit for this problem is of cause the Power Fist,

If you Defensive Bash a Power Fist's quick attack you lose a huge amount of durability, if your enemy continues to Quick Attack and you Defensive Bash again you will likely lose all durability and be free game for a third Quick Attack with the Power Fist to stun, the fourth will of cause kill (2 strikes and your out with Quick Attack from Power Fist)

If someone is spamming Quick Attack with Fist / Mawl / Axe in that order the best thing you can do is Dbash, roll and chose weather to shoot them in the face or lunge back in with a Strong Attack.

One of the most frustrating things is Defensive Bashing a Quick Attack and having YOUR weapon break, being punished for using the correct method of countering a Quick Attack. This really needs to change.

Haven't you heard your foot and your weapon are the same entity. Melee is actualy just a bunch of us playing footzies.
  7. If you successfuly Dbash a Power Fist, unless they're a bullshit JPA and evade out of the stun immediately or after a massive like .1 second stun, you should be able to headshot them to death easily.

Powerfist is probably the easiest to counter and the weapon that doesn't break RPS system most often in my experience.

Also guys do not forget one thing.

Even though it is a correct choice on a RPS system, Blocks and parrys still damage the weapons on both sides.
Just less than a clang. If you are facing a much heavier weapon, even if you put yours in the way, it's meant to take significant impact.

Even if you try to deflect by forcing it to slide to side, there's still contact, that can compromise weapon integrity.

One thing that bugs me though, is that, defensive bash, doesn't even involve the weapon...which is stupid.
It's not like the animation uses the weapon to deflect the incoming FA.

The guy simplys soaks it with his shoulder, and kicks/headbutts.

In that aspect, i have to question.

-How do you soak a hit with your body, and not take dmg?
-How do you damage your weapon, withtout using it?
