Issue: Brute forcing defensive bash with lights. How: If you perform a defensive bash to counter light attack spamming, their light attack will hit your wind-up or defensive bash, and damage your weapon clang health. With the ability to get a light swing off on a db, then dodge the following kick, you can brute force defensive bashes with light attacks. Why: It breaks down the RPS system, and allows the simplification of melee: spamming lights. The main issue being that weapons with a higher impact will win, and players are unable to defend themselves in melee, if they rely on the flawed DB. TL;DR Light attacks shouldn't do clang damage to defensive bashes.
The issue with that is the discrepancies with different clients and the server, as well ac EC being EC, i.e: bad network wise.
Yes, and? If you've given up on the devs fixing the game there's absolutely zero point in making that sort of thread in the first place.
I'm not entirely sure why we still haven't removed durability damage on winning RPS throws. Seems like it would be a fairly straightforward and easy to patch fix that would ease a lot of tears.
https://bhvrmtl.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/community/topics/200175666-Feature-Requests Or just burn it all and go with Space Marine esque melee system. No lockon, clang or DB. Lunge distance is dictated by the weapon, more forward movement while quick attacking to correct direction while swinging, DPS could be pretty close but modifiers such as damage per hit multiplied by power attacks and AP make all the difference. So on etc.
It's too late. It's been too late for a while. Let's just work with what we currently have, and please stay on topic.
It shouldn't even need to be put to a petition. The counter intuitive play around DB is ridiculous and this is another problem that makes no sense as to why it exists.
One SHOULDN'T be punished for choosing the right thing in RPS system. > Do I lose durability when I interrupt a Heavy attack windup by my light attack? > Do I lose durability when I break through a DBash with a Heavy Attack? > Why should I lose durability when I block a light attack with my DBash? I believe this should apply even when you're in a "weapon Danger" Zone. If you pick the right choice, you shouldn't be punished.
