Try telling a moderator and reasoning with him/her. If that does not work then maybe you're too fussy?
I say that because it was more or less discussed by Mods already, as far as I am concerned. Back then when some 'issues' occurred.
Uriel, you came in here to tease a member of another faction, then complained that people use these threads to tease members of the other faction. I assume you see the irony? As for my "too long" post - if you're not really interested in the character behind your gaming avatar, skipping it was the right call. Edit: Deleted an original section of my post as events have proven me wrong. Evidently the moderating rules no longer consider it acceptable to have RP rivalry threads in the faction sub-forums.
I came to annoy, not tease. Different Story lol. And Iam the king of irony and sarcasm, but I also looked into seeing the sense of the thread *what a nice excuse isn't it?* I just would love if the Forums would stay clean and are used as supposed, that way we simply can have fun where it's supposed to be and be serious where it is intended. Also tbh I create a whole background to the SoG, building up on the little lore that is known about them, though I will not be able to live my SoG commitment out as there will be only Ultramarines in EC. And as I said before.... the RP section is there for a reason, I live my SoG Apothecary out in the Deathwatch RP.
well its our duty to tidy up the forum so we try to keep all non EC stuff out of the EC section of the forum its ok if you do some RP stuff in your posts if it does not distract the thread from its topic but threads which are about RP should be placed in offtopic or Roleplay subforum
Fair play - hard to argue with that. Speaking personally, that particular 'clean' rule isn't one I'd come across before, and I've been in here most days since the forums were launched. Clearer signposting about that would help, IMO. Ultimately, I guess its more a sense of where people draw the line - I don't tease people in serious threads about mechanics, but I will from time to time go against the grain in off-topic threads like "What's your favourite Eldar quote", irrespective of which forum that appears in. And okay, I'll admit it, I was teasing you about not caring about your character. I'm well aware of the Deathwatch RP being run on the forum here, even if I'm not a part of it.
I understand the thinking behind it and don't have a problem with it at all - it was just news to me that this was in effect.
Yeah the prob is there is no proper 'Forum Guidelines' pinned post ANYWHERE. And the code of conduct is also somewhat vague.
