You say that like other factions haven't abused their shit ad nauseam. Heck, if you look at the "Top 10 things" to change from the game, Plasma Cannon was the only faction-specific thing to make the cut. Personally, I don't see why people get so riveted about fighting Eldar. As long as you keep off the road, they are 100% less annoying than Autocanon/PlasmaCanon spam. There's no reason to be dying to their vehicles unless you are a jaywalking enthusiast.
Well, I think that if the tank is boosting and hits you dead on. You're dead. But if it taps you on the side, you just get shoved. That's how I would fix them.
I would fix them by changing the impacts to do damage rather than instant ragdoll, and have a minimum threshold of speed required to even do damage. Base the damage off a comparable fall at the speed of impact, and add a stun/disorient. You're speaking like someone who hasn't seen them doing loops around control points, spawncamping defenders.
I do think though that Grav weapons were a good Band-aid for Eldar tanks though, those things cripple them. Also, if we get those changes to roadkill, can we apply it to all vehicles too?
They do more then cripple, a Grav cannon will annihilate a Wave Serpant in an overheat. But i'm in the middle on this. The Eldar vehicles are clearly broken, but giving LSM/other races weapons that quickly reduce them to slag isn't the solution.
That's just the health nerf though, Falcons suffer the same problem. But a predator will tear a Falcon a new one, but the Falcon will tickle it...
I would say yes, with a threshold for tracked vehicles where you take "crushing" damage to reflect that you would be going under the treads at a certain point.
I wouldn't know, because they usually just ram you with a fire dragon in one of the seats and stick a meltabomb bundle before the engagement starts.
Why would I need to provide you real physics math in a game where you drop from orbit to the ground and not end up as mashed potatoes and 5 seconds later can be torn to half by a glorified chainsaw motorbike cavalry? If you don't want to be driven over, then pay attention to your surroundings as in 100% of maps there are safe ways to cross the road using existing cover.
