I see Chaos is corrupting infants again. Sesame Street just isn't the same when Oscar is a plague-ridden worshipper of Nurgle.
I can attest, Eldar pugs have been bad lately. Really, really bad for reasons I can't fathom. The LSM have an influx of newbies all day, whats their excuse?
Meanwhile I saw an ork yesterday decide he was going to TK a trukk with a dakkadeff gun whose gunner promptly terminated his privilege of life. I laughed a lot when the trukk crunched his body with the front bumper after.
Hold on, gonna need my tinfoil helmet for this. It's all part of the plan, clearly. The Eldar are bringing in LSM newbies into the fold, though not to bolster their ranks and get some diversity in this game going. What they're actually trying to do is let these newbies get killed repeatedly, so they can go cry on the forums. As we all know, LSM players are adept at making complaint threads. When they start playing as Eldar and making Eldar complaint threads, the sheer familiarity of these reports will bring about swift changes and buffs to the Eldar as a whole, because the LSMs are the ones doing the complaining.
Which means the only reason why I'm not kicked constantly is because dem lsm nuubs don't even know how to vote kick? THEY REALLY NEED TO LEARN HOW THE GAME WORKS
I cross post my reports to the Steam forums to widen the audience. Perhaps cross posting player-wide information should become the norm. Still won't catch people who don't look at forums at all.
I cannot tell you the sheer number of times when i'v heard this is actually the reason. Look, guys, I know LSM largely has less skilled players and newbies. Everyone knows it, they are good as lemmings 90% of the time. That doesn't mean you can just sit on your arses and expect easy wins when they show up, nor does it mean genuinely bad players don't exist on all three other factions. They do, I have played every other faction inside and out, you'll bump into them frequently. Some days it's not LSM winning because they are on a crutch, some days you just play poorly.
Twist the knife~ Seriously though, this thread is a joke. No offense OP...I mean I understand where you're coming from, and I completely validate your frustrations (if it matters). That being said...your idea (at least in my opinion), is just bad. And I'm not just saying this because I main LSM, I'm saying this because your idea literally hurts EVERYONE involved, LSM, other factions, devs, and guilds. So for the OP, I do have a single question. What would YOU do to fix the problem? I ask because the Devs of this game have already explained that they know about the heavy population difference, so an act like this isn't showing them anything they don't already know. You're basically trying to force their hand. That being said...how are you going to force their hand when they can't do anything. Making other factions OP to encourage players is bad, can't put hard caps on players, can't reduce the popularity of a faction, can't just cut the que on 25% of the playerbase. Etc etc. They can't "fix" this problem, they can only band-aid and encourage solutions. Such as higher XP for underpopped factions, campaigns to encourage battles against factions, faction flavor and flair to pique interest, small game modes to encourage low pop battle rotations, etc etc.
I will have to agree, cross posting should become the norm at this point in order to involve the new playerbase further. The rest of us have been here for ages and learned from each other, they have not had the chance. Time to bring them up to speed. Btw, I am still recording those battles for the storyline.
What would I do to spread the playerbase more evenly amongst the 4 factions? That, dear poster, isn't a simple fix as the problem is a combination of several key issues. The main one is simply one we can't do anything about, and that is that Space Marines are simply the most popular faction amongst fans of the 40K universe. They are the posterboys, and for good reason. That is not something that will be going away, now or ever, and will continue to put LSM at the top of the player population scale until this game is closed down. And I am not trying to force anyone's hand, that is not my purpose. Rather, it may simply be a byproduct of my suggestion being used by a large number of players. Nor, frankly, am I trying to fix the issue myself as it is far larger than one person could repair. That's why the developers have several teams to work on these issues. What I am suggesting is trying an alternative for a short period so that those of us who don't want to fight LSM on a constant basis can enjoy a battle with a different faction more frequently than we are allowed to now. That's it, just a suggestion and a request that other players try another faction if they can. Nothing more can be done until more options regarding battle & faction choice to the World Map are added or something. Also, stating someone's idea is a total joke and then saying "No offense", doesn't make it offense-less. Just saying is all, not offended or anything, you just can't preface it like it for it to work.
