I just discovered the beauty of Orks and I want to read a bit more about their history. Do any of you have book suggestions? Thank you!
The only real ork book is rise of the evil sun. There are 2 ork comics but other than that there isnt much
Yeah for some odd reason there isn't too many books about that them. Its kinda a shame to, there is so much opportunity to expand on them, maybe one that tells the tale of how Ghazkhull came to be a Goff warboss and his side of the war of Armageddon. Or maybe one showing a nameless ork going from a regular foot soldier to a full fledged warboss.
I haven't gotten very far in it yet, but the first book in the Soul Drinker's series has Orks as the antagonists. The boss gets some screen time.
The primary source of decent Ork lore is the codexes for the tabletop game. All of the good one-paragraph stories and tales of Orky Escapades are usually in the codexes across the editions. 4th Ed codex had tons of gud stories. Haven't read 7th ed codex yet, so I can't really answer that one.
Iron Inferno by C.L. Werner in the Anthology "Fear the Alien" http://wh40k.lexicanum.com/wiki/Fear_the_Alien_(Anthology) Gives you an ork perspective... sort of.
well i guess a human does have a hard time writing in the perspective of something completely inhuman
fear the xeno has an ork short story about a blood axe nob which stomps some umies with his kommando squad in the 2nd space wolf book there is a situation where they are having a trukkrace!
