Not for spying, plenty of our guys have other guilds they reside in We're a collective of guys hanging around for fun. If there's been an instance of some of guys entering our opponent guilds' voip, it's to listen for sweet, sweet salt & Hackusations. This thread is trivial. Guys keep it civil. Yes I kicked a BLOP member in one match but he knew what he did and expected the kick. Yes jokes are made on both sides but they are kept to a min. It is not a BLOP player who started the whole Fasheru thing and that person has been talked to by his leaders and others so.
Not to take any side here, but some players who are attracted to the game or even backed it, are there because of the 40k IP and not because they are seeking a competition beyond the setting this game is placed in. And to be honest duels in the heat of the Battle or ultimate apocalypse drawing near is one of the iconic things in the 40k universe. What people usually forget is that this is mostly described in lore and TT rules for HQ units or plainly spoken Heroes...and we are far from playing hero's. Everyone is a line Trooper apart from the Elites and even the veterans are just that, a veteran within a squad...no elite honor guard or champion. I can understand both viewpoints and was suggesting before and during alpha to include the heroic duel for warlords. So that whenever two warlords catch each other in melee they get immune to non-warlord ranged shots (let's assume both have a refractor field of some higher than regular quality). All I got as an answer from the devs was "can't comment because no warlord yet" even though I would have more liked an answer if the idea is good or bad per se... What would you all, as competitive players, think about such a mechanic?
