Blood Axes Not As 5th Faction, But...

The Topic I want to discuss is Ork NPC Enemies. In one of the Livestreams they stated, "Orks will be fighting other Orks"
I don't know if it's just me misinterpreting the statement, but I think it as NPC Orks, roaming the planet of Arkhona. Now I thought, Why not Blood Axes then? The other Ork clans see them as Unorky, treacherous and cowards.

So despite all this hatred, they could also be the 5th faction, I have no proplem with that. The Ork faction could use someone who specialises on krumpin' the Imperium.
I just see them capable as a NPC faction exactly because of their reputation and how they roll.
Another question is if there even should be a NPC Ork faction, or is Tyranids more then enough. I personally think it would be good, perhaps they could be a spare-army if Space Marines outnumbered everyone and slaughtered them and Tyranids.

What do you think? Should there be a NPC Ork faction? Which Clan would it be? How would it work? Opinions.

  2. the orks fighting other orks means nor that there will be NPC orks
they want to have some mechanic that makes use of friendly fire between orks

if they will stay with that plan and how it will work I don't know
  3. Crackersmasher, be me name and krumpin me enemiez for der loot be me game! An' be 'anten ta fight udder orks!

Still, even if they had a Arena (Which could be nice, I'm thinking like in Mount and Blade) couldn't a Ork NPC faction benefit?
And what do you mean friendly fire between orks, will benefit?
But really, having a faction that you could go to every now and attack them casually could be good. It could used as a place for casual F2W players to get introduced to the fighting.

well actually somewhere was stated that we would have fought other enemies besides Tyranids in the dungeons
(or whatever they will be called).
i think they also hinted about heretics and orks...

anyway, i think that these orks won't be members of a particular klan.
probably they will just be some feral tribes or at best some groups lead by local warbosses who are competing against each other for their own WAAAGH.
    Ramgut-Bloodscreama and Blakklaw like this.

If it was NPC orks, then feral/snakebites (bloody luddite gits) or freebootaz (shifty bloody merc gits) would probably be the way to go.
  7. no no no no no no no no no NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! I want my 5th faction blood axes !

NPC orks could be encountered in a similar way to Tyranids. Just have them as Freebootaz looking to krump you for your shiny bitz. You could then be trying to steal their hoards of bitz as a reason for going down there to krump them (apart from a good fight, obviously).

I don't think Blood Axes are ruled out. The rumour mill is that each faction will get at least one more sub-group, and Blood Axes are far and away the most popular. Who else would it be? Snakebites?

I've always been a fan of the Blood Axes, in fact my TT Orks are being painted that way :D. But any ways... I think that having NPC Orks running around random could work with the lore and everything. But it would need to be done in a good way. Could you imagine SM fighting CSM fighting Eldar Fighting Orks Fighting 'Nids fighting other Orks? I know the Nids will attack the bigger more successful enemies but still, One can dream.

As far as the Blood Axes being an NPC faction I would not like to see, I want them to be my 5th so I can roll as one to kill dah Humies!
  10. I do not believe that is correct. They've stated that for the PvE content that they want more than just Nidz occupying the underground, so I do believe that one other NPC enemy they will include will be Orks, because it makes sense for any faction to fight them, including other Orks.

They just wouldn't be surface NPCs
