I wasn't expecting a finished product by any means, but I was expecting a lot more than the alpha footage we got that basically looked like Space Marine multiplayer with no textures. Starting the founders program now seems a little odd, unless on the 25th we are about to be bombarded with more information/screenshots/footage than we can handle.
Color me skeptical (and maybe even willfully obstinate). Until I know for sure that FP classes will be exclusive and not simply variants on [what should already be established as] standard gear, I can only operate from what's been written on the subject. But, you're right in that once people start buying Founders gear, odds are that its options aren't going to get removed. Okay, this part I can agree with you on pretty much out of hand. The appropriate way to handle the FP would be to at least get the core rosters and basic loadouts out first. ---------------------- Look, I've said all I need to say on my way of viewing the situation. All I have left to say to you is this: I hope that by the time launch roles around, you're pleasantly surprised and you have quite a great deal of fun. Until then, I'll see you around on the forum.
After waiting hours for something substantial to be show at E3 just for nothing to happen except that I have to wait even longer was extremely disheartening. Instead of amping up they backed down and soon they'll start taking money for nothing but promises. I'm not waiting up anymore I'll look it maybe a year from now if it even still exists.
Ah, Christmas in the barracks. So many memories. ...Not really though, spent every single holiday in the barracks nearly black out drunk. (Linked because naughty language. Not interested in getting messages from mods today.)
i guess what i have to ask is: why is your opinion on the founders program so important? if the community asked that there be a founders program, why are you blaming the developers for the founders program? i'ts the summertime, go to a festival and drink a beer. this is 40k... you're talking TO grown people. but you are not talking LIKE grown people. your expectations mean less than nothing to me, and i would assume that your expectations mean very little to everyone else. how could the development team possibly take your specific expectations into account?
