They Templars get most of there icons from the Teutonic Order. However, the Teutonic Order , as a militant order, was patterned off of the older Knights Templar, and the Knights Hospitaller.

Tbh I want all first founding chapters done before the successors. Though I agree black templars should be at least one of the first three successors done.

As Black Templar purist, I found the roll in to be a relief. Space Marines are a priority to GW, so as an official Space Marine Codex chapter that means we are a priority for updates n0w t00. When 7th edition comes out years down the line, we won't be stuck with an old codex while other marines get loads of new weapons and units. Although the new Emperor's Champion changes, in both gameplay and lore(why would they even change the lore?) are frankly...saddening.
