I hope they choose to support Chapters which did not merit inclusion by allowing players to individually adopt the colors and iconography of their preference at some point. It would not bother me to be the only Black Templar on the field, though I am sure, were it an option, I would not be alone.
Careful brother, you are treading on the rainbow argument now. As if huge conflicts like Armageddon didn't have plus 20 chapters fighting for the naysayers. Templars already proved to be the most popular choice in a poll made some time ago, so, no brother you definitely would not be alone.
Ugh... I can still taste the rainbow from Space Marine Multiplayer... too many clowns running around with mix and match armor colors... But I digress. I am still hoping that the BT somehow get implemented in some way- however unlikely it may seem- it is still my dream to be pitiless, remorseless, and fearless all at the same time. That would be great. For the Glory of Dorn, Sigismund, and Helbrecht! We fight on brothers!
If you like the Black Templars, it shouldn't matter that we perhaps aren't the best choice right now. We can crusade harder than all the others, that's all that matters!
If you like the BT enough to pay money for them in an army, then you should go with them based on their awesome. They aren't BAD right now, and their Chapter Tactics are really knightly which work out well on tt even if they aren't the best thing ever. We are the best army for challenges in the tt. True, the usefulness of that only goes so far, but I think it's super awesome.
I have both the 6th and 7th ed codex's and on paper Helbrecht is about as good as magneus calgar (same base stats) But he is still missing something most of the other chapter masters seem to have, like orbital bombardment for instane. The only reason i have not started my BT army is that every forum seems to say BT's arent good anymore or that they are just worse ultramarines. Gues its time to order some BT models, painting stuff and begin this hobby.
Black Templars are the non marines. They have no direction and no home. If the only way is to kill and will kill until they are killed. They take too long to see this.
