Hello new here and almost completely unaware of Warhammer lore. Just found out this game and searched for space marines chapters, was a bit disappointed to see that BT are not in the choices for now. Since the only Warhammer book I read was about them, I would like to pledge my allegiance to them.
welcome to the club, then. if there's any particular subject you want to read more about, http://wh40k.lexicanum.com/ is your friend, (my youtube channel is also said to have helped newcomers), I recommend you read plenty of Black Library novels - just don't start off with the Horus Heresy series because they deal with hsitory 10000 years ago, and of course I'm sure just about everybody in these here forums will be glad to answer any questions you may have.
Ah thank you! The book I read was Helsreach, well going to the lexicanum to learn more about the lore!
Helsreach is probably my favorite BL book right now. I couldn't put it down, and breezed through all of it in a matter of hours. It's interesting to see how a Black Templar goes about his business on a day-to-day, when not cracking skulls. Also, Grimaldus bitching about how much he hates administration work is priceless.
Where, really, the BT had no place being among the other First Founding Chapters that were on the poll. I'm not a fan of the Black Templars nor do I dislike them really, but getting in some more of the First Founding Chapters seems like a better overall idea.
The only thing which makes me sad is that other chapters have no chances vs Black Templars in the poll =(
Imo argumenting that game is named Eternal Crusade so it should include BT is idiotic. I'd prefer Ravenguard or Salamanders as fifth chapter.
