Just disappointed... I seriously doubt the game will ever have BT now. Or another faction even. I honestly dont see it. The team is afraid of developing different stuff just copy past chapters legions with different colors. And seeing this I ask how will they add a new faction? 5 or 6 factions on the map? The best you will have in game will be a paint job of BT and all other chapters. Thats my vision of the game.
I could see them putting another faction in but it would be way to crowded on one planet if they add a few more planets into the game later on I could see more factions added into the game. I can also see them just copy and pasting chapter colors and I'm kinda ok with that as long as BT colors are in it but even with that I wouldn't be that happy with it. There is always room for more brothers to join us welcome to out killing fields.
As I see it, excluding aesthetic modeling, each chapter would have their own "special rules / wargear" like WH40k. For me, Ultramarines are the generic representation of "Space Marine" and follow the basic rules / options for WH40k. The specialties lie w/in other chapters that offer different "Rules/Wargear" the set them apart from others or set them. As for 2nd Foundings, I would only see BT make it in if they expanded and brought in IF. *sigh*
They dont cost that that much just go on ebay and order an army buy more for less, i got an entire Imperial Guard army for $300 and on gw it would be worth least close to $900, then if they already painted just buy some i think its called simple green so it doesnt eat away the plastic resin aswell and let it strip off the color then scrape and brush off the rest and what didnt come off gently with a tooth brush and any better tool,and then paint it the color you want and repair and repose the miniatures you want,and end upsaving yourself alot of money that can be better spent on supplies and even buying more have fun and good luck on making them. My next army will be Black templars,first time i saw black templars was on the cover of the codex in gw store,i was like who dat same way i read up and damn,I waslike these guys are legendary!! Why are they more talked about and apraised,Black Templars need to be added to ET,otherwise it makes no sense why they would name the game that,and if they dont add em after a year or two i probably lose intrest very quickly same as any game that doesnt update,or would require it
Um .. does everyone know as per 3rd ed fluff .. "Eternal Crusader" is the personal battle barge of the High Marshall of Black Templars? So, how do you use something 1 letter from that specific name and deny the use of Black Templars?
No one gives a shit about BT. The bland roll into the main dex is proof of that. Just another color scheme in the codex now.
