Well, I guess if everyone had 5000000 questions, they'd know the lecture was bad, so...:)

You would have to assume that would be Katie, but I cannot ever recall her responding to game related issues, her job seems to be announcing twitch streams etc.

@Timburwolfe Very nice OP. Highly agree on pretty much everything. Hope we can have a good discussion that actually helps the game survive this crisis instead of dooming it further.

I'd like to shift the focus of the discussion a bit. I think the best way to ensure this game's longevity enough for the executives to see fit to commit more resources to development is to solve a fundamental problem that exists at the moment: the portion of the playerbase which holds far-reaching social media likely do not feel they can advocate for buying EC in its current state, and f2p is not fun.

I say this because, as someone who began as f2p, I paid for a copy for no reason other than necessity. The hit to my ingame progression was so substantial, and the impact said progression has on the game is so profound, that the grind became unbearable. I paid for a copy because I was unable to have fun without having reasonably timely AP/Requisition progression. I was so gimped by the restrictions that I felt the only was I was going to really enjoy the game for what merits it has was to pay for it. That is the reason the f2b playerbase is mostly Russians; Most Russians are probably used to not being able to afford luxuries, so they will continue to play it because they appreciate what free entertainment they can get and they can appreciate it more than those of us who are accustomed to paying for high levels of entertainment. Take a look at Team Fortress 2's f2p model ad learn from it; They are as successful as they are because you do not have to shell out $20 to have a shitload of fun playing it. Hell, the only difference between f2p and premium in TF2 is ostensibly the wacky cosmetics and taunts. I'm all for restricting the RTC and UTA to players who have shelled out the cash, but I think the AP, XP, and Requisition restrictions really aught to go. It's hard enough getting to rank 5 as it is even without being cut down to 1/3rd of the ingame rewards, and that ridiculous grind for things that have such an impact on the gameplay serves as a barrier to having fun rather than an invitation.

@Oveur Ordinarily, I wouldn't think it was such a huge problem, but there is both a pay to win aspect to this as a result, and also the point that people probably don't want to shell out $20 for what looks to them like a dying game. If you want the game to succeed, you need to improve upon the f2p experience enough that people will stick around long enough to be able to decide whether or not it's going to be worth it to them to pay for the full copy. Not everyone is such a big fan of Warhammer 40k as I am where I will scrape together the money to buy it aanyway just so I can have the fullest experience the game can offer. You could seriously grow the playerbase if the f2ps were having enough fun to try to convince friends to join in, and that would help alleviate the issue of low population in other factions by increasing the population.

What goes hand in hand with that is what you guys are trying to do; Fix the issue of only specific tactics/classes being strategically viable nearly to the exclusion of all others.

Guys... seriously... the dev streams. Watch them and ask your questions there or stop posting. Literally every question I asked was answered. They answer all of them.
