I get that, but with the proper mods and a master crafted ASC it essentially shoots a laser. Maybe that setup works better for him, but in theory it's less damage.
More damage per shot, less RPM. Little drop of damage per minute and no effect on TTK. I did the math at one moment. You get less spread per dmg ratio but it's minor too. The most interesting thing is that it increase ammo efficiency and require less bullets to kill but grosso modo TTK stay the same.
I find it's not a loss of anything if you have good aim. I'm not amazing but it certainly helps me out vs LSM stacking armour and toughness. Can just about go toe to toe if I'm using cover! Just about....
Well THIS just isn't true lol. Multiply the damage per shot by the RPM and you get a rough DPS. Sure the impulse accelerator makes you do more damage per MAGAZINE, but "if you have good aim" you don't need a whole magazine to down something!
I didn't say you need a whole magazine to down someone. What I said was with good aim I think the impulse accelerator helps out a bit more is all. Whether it does or not I'm not sure, but it always seems to help me out a bit more. Either way it's up to whoever is doing the load out. It works for me is all I know! Most of the time I just take twin linked anyway. I find im in points at close quarters most of the time, so I just take heavy barrel and textured grip and that seems to work out great.
You don't get a Heavy Barrel on any Shuriken weapon apart from the pistol these days, as far as I know. Definitely not on the regular Avenger Shuriken Catapult anyway. Not positive on the TLASC.
Really? Pretty confident I have the heavy barrel on both my avenger shuriken catapult and twin linked. I could be wrong? I'm checking when I get home from work!
Yeah, I was second-guessing myself a bit even when I typed, which is why I added the sentence at the end.. It's not on the regular ASC. It is on the TLASC and Shuripistol.
Instead of pew-pew I strongly prefer to slash-slash and squeal-squeal! It's better than pew-pew and more reliable in close quarter engagements
