Alright, the codex says that the smurfs are the best chapter, But we know thats simply not true. State your first founding chapter and why, State your other chapters and why, First Founding: Blood Angels, for after having 950 causaulties they came back to purge the space hulk, for having hell literally thrown at them, and a hive fleet at the same time, and all the while still having great hair. Other Chapter: Fire Hawks/Legion of the Damned, because death is no exuse for no fighting
First Founding: Imperial Fists because Sigismund was first captain, plus that small skirmish called the Siege of Terra. Other: Black Templars, just simply awesome and the largest chapter out there.
First Founding: Salamanders, because green is best flamers! They're also one of the most "humane" chapters, despite their almost demonic appearance, and are fully aware that they've become monsters. Their iconography looks very cool, too. Other: Black Templars, because awesome.
Thousand Sons! (pre or post HH) They are Psyker, Sorcerer Warrior Scholars. I love the Egyptian stylization. Ahriman is awesome as well as Magnus. Alpha legion Because the are just as stealthy as Raven Guard or more so, they very cunning and approach situations from odd angles none expect. Kind of like infiltrating Chaos to undue them. Whether they are tricking Chaos or Chaos tricked them they fight for the Emperor and they have ballz the size of planets for attempting such. Well this is the listed option I see them in anyway.
I'll agree with the Alpha Legion for the same reasons as Nether. Cloak and dagger, waiting for just the right time to reveal and strike from a position of utmost strength. They're pragmatic attitude lead them to make the tough choice that no other Legion could. As for other chapters, I'll say... Crimson Fists. I was going to go with Templars, as they were the first marines I ever played as. But since the newest edition of the Table Top, where they were (somehow) deemed not worthy of having their own 'dex or at least suppliment, I kind of lost love for them. The Cimson Fists, however, haven't really changed much, and they're just as tough as any Sons of Dorn!
Hah By far the best chapter is the chapter 666 The Grey Knights. Do I need to mention why? usualy no so lets just stick to the fact that they are the best of the best of the best there is and by far superion than other chapters
Blood Angels ,cause they can berserker harder than anyone else. Besides ,its one of the most loyal Chapters ,had one of the greatests Primarchs and thou its hard for everyone else to trust them ,they are still revered by everybody else (and their successors actually do help them when needed).
the best chapter is the one that suits your gameplay best. there is no best chapter. /sarcasm off that aside, grey knights for obvious reasons... and i also like the iron hands too.
Salamanders for trying to maintain a semblance of humanity when they are anything but. Crimson Fists because their iconography is simple, striking and they are implacable foes. Minotaurs and Carcharodons because they are the essence of 40k brutality. Moloch and Tyberos are immense characters who also haven't succumbed to lore and fluff overload (and are my favourite miniatures)
