Still does not make sense to choose a HQ choice to me. In no situation is this not offensive: The Autarch, a HQ choice for the Eldar army, will be as powerful as the other elites being released. This is a joke on Eldar players, since the Autarch should be more powerful as an army-general-level unit. The Autarch is more powerful, making it unfair to the other factions that Eldar are given an army general before any other faction. Unless Autarchs are becoming an elite choice in the new 40k edition or something? I can not imagine any situation where it makes sense to make an Autarch, regardless of how "easy" it is supposed to be.
The day a non-Astartes race get something without Astartes getting an equivalent or counter, an exterminatus will probably lay upon us. Eldar getting Ranger was the occasion to put LSM's scout in game (the stalker being moved from tactical to scout), CSM getting cultist and ork... gretchin? j/k, kommandos. But neh, straight to Elite, with an unknown lethality (probably not too much else it will create the next genesis flood but with LSM tears)
Where's the Chapter when you realize that Pouncy has never actually read a Space Marine book and is just riding the SM hate bandwagon?
Obviously, but that was never going to happen because no game turns out like the original plan wanted it to.
Given our previous conversations i'm not sure I believe that. As we've seen in previous threads you don't understand much of Astartes lore and seem to largely hate them just because you perceive Sisters of Battle got shunted to the side. Even if that were true it's dismissing a faction and the people who play that faction for the crime of being popular, which is ultimately I suppose what this particular circlejerk is about. Even as a Chaos player i'v become wary of people who dislike LSM because their faction get the attention or the money and are willing to go to the extreme of disparaging that community or their fluff because of that hatred. It's a disgusting practice that attacks the fandom and the stuff they like for the sins of the developers.
bE went for an unprecedented amount of transparency in game development. Normally by the time the public hears any details about a game it's already been in production for a year or two and most of the details have been settled.
