And sometimes a bug occurs that causes eldar ships to randomly self destruct. I've seen it a couple times. ...although it could just be cosmic karma from gork/mork/emperor.
Not a bug, a feature. When too much arrogance is present in the same location for extended periods of time, it collapses into a warp entity and explodes.
Wat. That sounds hilarious. Like, just randomly exploding eldar? Where is my gif for this? This sounds like the greatest thing I have ever heard of in my entire life. If someone makes a montage of this karmic retribution, I can die happy. Again. Seems legit. There is only so much arrogance the universe can take after all.
I have watched red blips on screen just explode with nothing around them. The only thing I can think of is they decided they could face check a mine field. Btw I found a good tactic vs the faster factions. In campaign if you can box an enemy ship in with light cruisers they won't move. Makes it easy for quick kills on enemy ships with macro canon broadsides. Plus if you move a cruiser or higher into position you can get easy torp barrages that hit with everything. Managed to bring down a chaos battle cruiser in about 6seconds doing this. Just don't try it with orks they will ram the shit out of you.
Anyone got any tips for going up against the Terminus Est in campaign? Next battle I'm going up against it is Planetary Assault and I'm packing a level 5 Overlord Battle Cruiser and a lvl 6 Dominator and Lvl 5 Lunar.
So the Terminus Est is a despoiler class battleship with nurgles favor. If you're going up with battle cruiser you shouldn't have any problem with the favor, it's damage is miniscule, just be careful of the bombers it can pump out. In addition, when engaging with torpedoes make sure it's fighters are down, otherwise they'll take out your ordinance before they hit the ship. Melta torpedoes do wonders when utilized effectively!
Masses of precision melta torpedo spreads, stasis weapons and using taunt to prevent it focusing upon a single ship for too long helped. I'd seriously recommend picking off and nailing a few of the other capital vessels first, either damaging their guns or engines until they're no longer a threat or forcing them to bug out, as you're going to want as few distractions as possible.
You can always make a super tanky ship with MWJ and a bunch of survivability upgrades. That way if you get low jump behind it and away and full ahead for a while while you heal back up. That shield transfer seems interesting but shields deplete so fast it seems kinda pointless.
Then you should play against me sometimes, when I'm in those games, it's the Assassinated hunting the Assassin
