Escort is pain now also with the change to speed upgrades. I can't catch all the enemy ships anymore as orks. They should have left the flat speed boost on orks. Tbh if any faction is gonna make their engines bigger/faster its the orks.

I hope they remove data recovery and assasination from the game. The fast factions can't lose these game modes. It literally encourages playing like a douche to win. Just stupid especially when campaign penalizes me for only getting in range of the eldar one time before he bitches out, and that was with a well timed mini warp jump followed by a failed lightning strike. It really makes me not wanna play when I'm not allowed to play.
Agreed, some of these modes are just stupid with how stacked they are towards one faction. I hate assassination the most, because it usually insures I lose at least one non-escort ship, or spend the whole 3 min chasing some eldar in circles before they warp out.
I managed to game the system with a save scum by accident. I alt f4 out of a game then had to close it in task manager for some reason. When I reloaded the auto save the eldar flag ship only had 1 hull point out of 5 left. Take that cheesdar I can cheat to!!!

Melta torpedos seem like they aren't anywhere as good as the boarding torpedos they replaced. Now that I'm being forced to play IN during campaign I can see why they would be frustrated in their forums. Too slow to really handle serious threats most factions can throw at you, and each mission requires very different ship builds to be successful against. Plus those ship costs seem outrageous considering how bad their escorts are. Goodluck ever getting your escort torpedos to hit without getting shoot down first.
Played some more multiplayer Orks vs. Eldar for the first time after release. "HAHAHAHA!!! NONE OF DEM PANZIES SURVIVED DA RED BUTTON!!! ORKS ORKS ORKS!!! Seriously, they came after me and rammed two of the main ships into scrap at once.
Now I assume the actual situation's different yet I can't help but imagine two Eldar ships ramming into each other and exploding because both captains were too arrogant to give way..
