Hope it's good (and that they don't go for the Germans are always evul trope). As I thought it looks like they're not focused just on the Western Front, which from what I know wouldn't make for a terribly eventful game. Eastern and Ottoman on the other hand.
I hope at some point in the campaign I get to play from the perspective of the germans. French and british would be an even bigger bonus. Also I hear that navy ships and even a zeppelin could be usable in multiplayer, though I have a feeling the zeppelin will be in its own dedicated game mode or something where people defend it while attackers try to board it and take it down, kinda like titans from 2142.
Seen this, and I have a few hopes, wants, and needs. I hope they have contributors who have read Charley's War. As the writer's did a lot of research for that, giving a level of authenticity few works can match. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Charley's_War Spoiler I want the 'Dragon' Flamethrower on the western front. It was a massive, static device that was trully scary. And I need to be able to use a brick as an offensive weapon in a dogfight!
Im not to sure BF can pull off WW1 game. Red Orchestra/Rising storm might be able to pull off a WW1 game alot better than a game that is getting more arcade by each title and it turning in to CoD with bigger maps and better gameplay. Would rather they try to recreate the BF 1942 or 2142 games or make a BF 2143 rather than go to WW1
