Even when we are not able to use them, put them in, why? Immersion.
Even if i can't use a cannon, i want to see them, i want to see a world where is war, not just boxes with notuing on it, a base should at least look like a base.

But I want to use the huge-ass cannon

  3. I want to be immersed as much as the next guy, but few things piss me off more than stuff which can't be used that looks like it can or should.

If you insist on putting a cannon somewhere that for some reason I can't use, it had better be pretty obviously either still being built or very heavily damaged to the point of nonfunctionality. Don't just slap a perfectly good cannon somewhere and not give us a way do do anything with it.

I would settle for something in between, but not if individual player/ squad/ strikeforce has the ability to make a mega fortress in the middle of an enemies territorys (that would be truly EPIC THO!), it could stray to much from the campaign. Ofc the war council could cause this stray aswell. But like, war council beeing able to put on some larger package upgrades, more visual changing upgrades and players be able to buy npc guards/ turrets/ the smal stuff. As mentioned before, sure make it destroyable somewhat but rebuild on a timer automatically(?).

Someone said, i repeat cus it was so good, an outposts meaning, seen in the last livestream 7, that large/ giant dome cannon, beeing able to fire every 10-30min would add sence and immersion, great idea! Within reasonable distance.

The upgrade choices has to be alot better than in WAR:AoR, ESO is progression, GW2 got some nice features, we want more tho.

Ghost capping - limit their possibility to sabotage is another alternative.

  5. Personally I'm hoping for a fair amount of exit/entry points, along with "hidden" passages that players who know about them can take advantage of.

I'm also hoping for a lot of variety in defense mechanics, such as Siege/Blast Doors, Anti-Vehicle and Anti-Infantry Turrets, booby traps, etc...

Well it's really lore breaking that we can't build bases. Or upgraded them. I remember iron warriors are all about make bases stronger tactically or destroying them tactically.

Lore breaking for who? most of the space marine chapters specialize on quick surgical strikes, orks don't care about creating a fortress and defending it, eldar acts like most SM chapters, they they hit hard and retreat before the enemy can retaliate, chaos is more about destruction and their gods goals, Iron Warriors are the only specialist on sieges and trench warfare.

It will be way more lore breaking having Eldar and orks defending bases.

I still want to be able to fortify bases spending requisition points but it's because (IMO) it will improve the gameplay not because it's lore friendly.

I want every base to be like The Crown before SOE neutered it.

I don't ever want to be able to "steamroll" a base.
