Which do you want to see? Banshee? or Scorpion?

  1. Howling Banshee

    40.5%
  2. Striking Scorpion

    59.5%

Hopefully the devs won't take the easy way out. Team Facedakka needs to win.

Yes. If your Wyches and Incubi are being charged, and your Kabalites have to charge instead, you are not doing very well as a Dark Eldar Warlord. Some will be left in the lurch when their transport is destroyed, but the general aim is to make the opposite happen.

As it is this close, if the decision is to be made now, both should be included.

  4. Scorpions! Banshees are to fragile, but scorpions are much better and anyone who knows the new Codex should agree at the sight of the 'Scorpions Claw'! (S=x2 AP3) Would like to see how they do that!

Banshees are fragile indeed, but they have a power sword as default weapon :D

The developers aim to capture the spirit of 40K units, not represent their profiles exactly, and they want to show the most 'iconic' units. I think Banshees have a greater spirit and are a more iconic part of the Eldar. They could be represented in a way more viable for game-play. They should still be paper tigers, sacrificing defence for an ultra-aggressive, courageous, high risk and reward fighting style.

I've been playing 40K for more years than I care to admit and I don't agree that Banshee's are in anyway more iconic than Striking Scorpions. Both are cool in their own way. I think the Scorpions have a more interesting back story with Ahra and Karandras. Of the few Eldar novels that there are out there, the Path of the Warrior features a protagonist who becomes a Scorpion. It's only in the eyes of Relic, that as a video game race the Eldar are their best chance to have breastplates on display and a 'female faction' in order to pander to the lowest common denominator that the Banshees were favoured over the Scorpions. Sadly I believe this will also be the case here regardless of the fan vote.

Once again I state that this topic and poll are totally counter-productive for the Eldar race. It spurs only dispute and aggression with such a harsh choice.
It is most obvious that we need both and will feel deprived having just one, it's like deciding on the best hand! Or hand and leg.

I'm sorry, but your arguments are based on a recent book and the fact that you have read the intriguing story of Ahrha and Karandras in a book about Scorpion, but haven't read anything (and probably know too little) about Banshees, that may have their stories yet untold. Thus you are using your ignorance as a shield against them.
None of these Aspects is more iconic. And Gav Thorpe wanted to write about a male Howling Banshee first, but decided to go more average-reader-friendly way. And oh, he went there.. He even makes Eldar think of humans in positive, respectful and sympathetic way, while these humans attack them!
Do you really want to state that the difference between Banshees and Scorpions is in the outline of the breastplate? Isha, cry for your children..

We need both but we will have just 1 at launch.

    Holy boatload of assumptions Batman!

So lets see. This poll is clearly counter productive: Because it's not reflecting your view. Ok then.

My arguments? I merely stated that both are cool, but I prefer the scorpions and said why. I didn't trash, undercut or attack banshee's in any way but because of it I'm ignorant, average (and thus stupid, that's what you're getting at right? Ok). You're also upset because I've not read untold Banshee lore. Well, that's hard to read then isn't it?

Sorry, but you come across as extremely argumentative, aggressive and unfriendly. I think you are clearly what this forum doesn't need, not a poll and friendly discussion about a preference.
