Would need to try that myself before jumping to any conclusions, but it sounds like a bug if true. Power Swords are T2. Edit: Or even T3? Knives>Chainswords>Power Swords>Mauls/Axes>Fists/C(K)laws?
I believe that they are all grouped together, so Fists C(k)laws>Mauls/Axes>Swords>Knives, so iic both the Banshee power sword, and the Scorpion Chain sword, and the Witch blade for that matter, would all be T2
In my experience so far, clangs mean nothing. I clang off of a powerfist fast attack while using a knife. The winner usually just rolls around and attacks the back. Clangs aren't really a thing at all right now in the actual battle. I don't understand how it's supposed to work. No one just attacks each other until durability runs out. You either anticipate the fast attack and Dbash it and win, or you clang a couple times and the person who rolls better and gets lucky with the buggy targeting wins.
It gives some suppression. It should provide the Banshee with 50% Ranged Damage Resistance to their forward 90 to 120-degree arc and be an ongoing effect that lasts for 2 to 3-seconds, afterwards going on cooldown for a while(I.E. 8 to 12-sec) At pulses of 0.25 to 0.5-sec they would apply a debuff to enemies that reduces their move and attack speeds. Each pulse could apply the full duration but only be able to affect a target once(I.E. max of 2 to 3-sec duration), they could apply the full duration and be able to refresh it(I.E. max of 4 to 6-sec duration) or it could apply smaller amounts with debuff stacks(I.E. 1-sec per stack max of 3 to 5 stacks). Yet another reason clang should be replaced with Block. Players should Block at the cost of Stamina, being unable to Block when out of Stamina, the loss of which should also reduce the player's move/attack speeds and increase their Dodge cooldown. Weapons with Armor Penetration(I.E. Power Sword) should be able to deal a percentage of their damage through the Block of a weapon with less AP(I.E. Combat Knife). So, while yes, that Tactical would be able to Block SOME of the damage from the Banshee's strike they would still take damage.
We're not in Dark Souls, mate @Maensith , maybe they had special knifes, which had some increased impact (force tier) or it's simply a bug of lowering the force tier of the lowest for tier weapon.... Best way to kill a Space Marine remains to scream in his back and stab him with a Strong attack
Completely agree with this tactic, sister, but, alas, this is either a bug or an intended feature - as far as I know, none of factions have some augmentics for knives to increase their tier. And, what is more surprisingly, even after I scream in their faces and see their textures boiling with energies (that means my scream reached its target), they still dont lose clangs with me - but, at least they take slightly more damage from me, this is the only small reward of banshee's scream
