Banshees! can they even work?

The BF/F/PS2 ones I found online.
    Here.
    There.
    Here as well.
    Also there.
    And here.

My EC ones come predominantly from/are mostly based on TT statistics.
Edit: What I currently have done can be seen here.

Whatever the values, the functions of Howling Banshees as described by the Devs have more been what @Dunedhel and @Wolfenhowl wrote. Also, IIRC, any Howling Banshee is supposed to be able to deflect bullets Mirror Swords or otherwise (though I admit to being hazy on those details).

Either way, if they're implemented as they have been described with Fleet of Foot (i.e. increased speed and agility in general), the Howl/Scream being a pinning sort of effect and even a small form of the Acrobatics they're meant to have I think they'll function quite well as a Class. Unless you decide to run across some very open terrain for an extended period of time.

They're not so far off anyway, so I'm sure we'll see some previews soon.
  3. Perhaps a scream that causes suppression would be kewl

That's the current plan, as far as I know.

Hopefully the scream won't hit allies, since that would make it useless to charge when in a group...

EDIT: I might as well just quote myself from the other thread.
The Howling Banshees will probably be harder to play than the Striking Scorpion due to their light armor and reliance on agility to evade damage, which is always harder to use and much more punishing for mistakes.
Their damage will probably be rather good, but the "Banshee Wail/Scream" could cause us quite a lot of troubles. If it hits allies it would be near useless in groups and make the Howling Banshees much less useful as a whole, and if we only get "one wail" at a time we would be left defenseless with a single miss and, depending on the recharge time, we would also have a hard time against groups of targets and spread out targets since we would need to rely on cover for recharging our wail. This will be much less of a problem if the Wail doesn't cause friendly fire, since we can then play in groups and assist each other with it, e.g. one or two Wails at the first target/group while the rest keep theirs ready for unforeseen enemy backup and for charging the next group.

You should also remember that Howling Banshees could carry Power WEAPONS not just Power Swords in all the previous codex, which means there is hope for us getting Power Axes and maybe even "non-named" Power Glaives (post-launch), but I then again, GW aren't exactly known for being happy about anything but Loyalists so this might be a long shot :(
To be honest, I think the only reason they changed this is due to them not bothering to make any new models of Howling Banshees using anything but swords, money do speak rather loud and the Eldar players are few in numbers (compared to the Loyalists).

  6. well it could hit allies that aren't banshees
  7. Noromiz Noromiz Nickname Change

That would be better than nothing and a bit more lore accurate I think.
  8. I'd be happy if they got a deflection ability similar to how Genji does in Overwatch right now.

5-10 second CD, deflect all ranged shots(not something silly like Plasma balls though) for the next 2 seconds or something. I probably won't play Banshee at all but I'd prefer my fellow Eldar players who do plan on playing them have a decent class mechanic heh.

With fragility of Eldar I suspect the race will gravitate to more 'elite' player due to the intrinsic design. Aka, you make a small mistake you die. That being said, I really hope banshees are very fleet and able to close onto their enemies swiftly, effectively, and precisely. Eldar combat should feel like a dance to me when I play with them, a gliding of blade from enemy to enemy. More of a parry/riposte and dodging focus.
Im totally expecting a leap like ability to get to my enemies and a howling wail to disrupt their ability to aim.
  10. Considering how far across a room you can fly with a Power Axe currently I think an actual leap would be ridiculous haha.
