Done a few games in Hive now it seems to be working.. and noticed one thing in each game. Bolters do fair damage, few shots a nid with spray, while Melee with a sorcerer seems pretty good at front lining, same with the LSM load outs of similar style But every game usually has 2-3 autocannons, myself included.. and we just roll face.. one shots basic nids, long ass range, n if we bunker up with overlapping fire arcs in an area; we're untouchable. Even warriors don't seem as bothersome. I love the AC; sound, feel and it's death potential, but it seems a little TOO good in Hive mode; way more usefull than the normal heavy bolter. Pondering what'd happen with 4-5 of them
To quote something quite old: "There is no such thing as overkill. There is only 'Open Fire' and 'I need to reload'" Autocannon does need a bit of a toning down I think. When you can drop players from across the map in a couple of shots, something's a bit off.
Aye, I find myself agreeing. I mainly play supporting classes like Dev and Apothacary/sorcerer.. and time and time again; Autocannon trumps heavy bolter. Don't get me wrong; I love the Autocannon, I just feel guilty when I use it. Doesn't stop me, but I feel it x3 it's like taking a super soaker against a little water pistol; you'll get wet but they're buggered xD
Yet to find out, normally takes 30mins to get a queue for Normal; and thats before the bloody game bugs out and kicks you for being idle; when it wont let you do shit to prove you're there (Chat apparently doesnt count; go figure -.-) Tried setting a few to hard and people instant leave the moment they see it
Personally I got no issue with the autocannon's balance, I feel the least scrublord to the other factions when using it in comparison to, well, anything else in the Havok's kit... With that said, Loyalists could do with one, and yeah, for Hive it's either AC or HB if you're going havok, AC especially for Warriors.
Someone reported an Orky autocannon somewhere in your crate tree. Keep da grind up, greenskin, and you'll find it! :3
