Lol nice. I like the end one. At any rate, I'm fairly certain TT gamers are probably not the prime target. It's the crossover multi-format, multi-genre gamers who pay the bills if a video game is good enough to solidify retention and revenue.
Well be done pretty good making it very lore accurate . eldar have their different aspects . it looks really dark and grim . then most other 40k games . weapons look accurate . they been keeping us happy so far. I havent thrown a fuss yet about the game other then worrying about rt and be making dough cause I want this game to live!!! I know if this game dies. This is last warhammer game that will be a mmo
Pretty much. Portraying the lore accurately will both appeal to old 40k enthusiasts (like me) and expose new players to the things that made 40k popular in the first place (gothic grimdark).
Well I've played TT for 8+ years and have been into it longer thanks to my brothers and honestly I've been excited and on the EC train since the second I heard of it. As for my other friends who game with me they have been just like me. Can't count how many times we've finished a TT game and gushed about how awesome a game like this that was done right would be. All in all I'm sure more people will come in time it's pre-alpha still and will take some time to gather steam. So as long as the devs keep going the way they are EC should be quite successful IMO. Edit: spread the word! The rest will sort itself out!
The same holds true for DDO/Neverwinter vs TT DnD. Online has many options except for 1 which is by far the one reason why TT most might test the water on online version of the game but not stay is Metagaming Remember the old Build your own Exarch a few editions back. Swooping hawk wings and Maugetar. Eldar play who used this always placed some piece of terrain 40"+ and fly on board upto the top and blanket the field with maugetar goodness on the battlefield.
Maybe when game is about to release. Put it on time square screen in New York with game play video . That sure would get attention xD
Well better make them I unstubborn , I either wanna slaughter them in name of the dark gods . Or fight with them xD but yea . Well it's not like there models are going anywhere and they don't have pay much to play ec. Though your getting a good deal then have to fork 50 or 60 on a new game. And it's 40k ! But I can't force them to play . I really hope this game gets a lot of people I want some good big battles . I know there is a big 40k fan base out here then 15 k right now.
I imagine that we'll find more MMO and Shooter players than 40k TT players. I could be wrong though, we'll just have to watch the community as it gets closer release time. Whomever the game attracts... I'm pretty confident it'll be enough for a big battle or two.
My friends and I have been playing TT since...well, since almost from the start of 40k TT. I love a good shooter, but some of my friends are more "wait and see." Some are just waiting to see if the game looks good when it is done, others are concerned with the time to kill. They want an experience more in line with PS1 (early on) and less Call of Duty. So since I am already on board, I just keep them apprised. I can almost promise that everyone will try it once it is available. With a FtP option there is no reason not to. Would give us something to do when we are not in the Warhammer room.
