    Well the sergeant is taken.
  2. Maleth Maleth Subordinate

    Here's my sheet!

Description: Tall, with a pale complexation that some might consider to be too pale even for a Void-born human, Saven's body is surprisingly lean for the strength she posses. With fiery red hair, pointed ears, azure eyes and a face that could be considered somewhat attractive, Saven does not look like your average Guardsman, having more than a hint of Eldar to her overall appearance. She takes great pains to hide her hybrid nature from those she can't trust with the truth about her heritage.

    History:

    ~~Saven's History before the 19th Valerian~~

Saven Firlaeth never knew her parents well, the father absent and her mother dying while she was a mere child. This left her alone, and a harsh life as one of the under-class of Imperial society was the only thing she could call hers. Joining the Imperial Guard was one of the few, yet risky ways out of her situation, so she enlisted at the young age of 18, concealing her heritage from the recruiting officers.

Saven soon gained a reputation for surviving improbable odds, often being stranded behind enemy lines yet always returning to the 125th Therion Heavy Regiment alive and not being severely harmed. Some suspected that her potential Eldar heritage was the reason why, others claimed she had skill worthy of a Tempestius Scion. Both claims can be given equal weight, given how the odds were stacked against her.

After the Necron attack on the world of Artemis, Firleath was transferred to another regiment by her request despite being given the option of retiring from the Guard, as she wanted to stay on for as long as she could, given that the Guard was the only home she really had. She was promoted during a battle against the Dark Eldar, where she managed to coordinate a rag-tag squad that survived the battle with less than 40% casualties. At least, her time on the field with a squad means that her medical and tech skills have improved, and firebrand antics have been tempered by responsibility of looking after a squad of her own.

  3. Name: Vassar Moon-ti Rahl
    Gender: Female
    Age: 20 Imperial Standard
    Rank: Lance Corporal
    Regiment: 107th Rahlian Panzer Fusiliers

    Bios:
Lance Corporal Rahl is a silent, what many assumed to be mute guardswoman who has served since the age of sixteen in the Rahlian Iron Guard. Known for their intense loyalty and close quarter fighting styles, the Rahlian Iron Guard were reformed into the Rahlian Panzer Fusiliers as most of their campaigns were assigned to supporting light and medium armor regiments.

Vassar was born on the iron dense planet of Munkta in Segmentum Obscurus. The planets warrior traditions have trained out loyal, veteran infantry and specialist regiments for several generations but their recent history has made them less well known to those outside their subsector. Like many of her compatriots, she shares dark, almost ebony like skin with crimson eyes which lack pupils making them appear bloodshot. A lifestyle hardened by volcanic rich environment has left her body tougher than the average Imperial citizen and as a member of the Iron Guard, her physique is much more advanced than most.

On her last deployment, the transport freighter delivering two Regiments of the Rahlian Panzer Fusiliers, the 107th and 501st was ambushed and boarded by Dark Eldar pirates. Despite repelling the action from the xenos-scum, heavy casualties and damage to the vessels engines forced it to make an emergency short range warp to the current sector. As the regiment was now below combat effective strength, her unit was merged into another regiment to bolster its strength which has been a common practice amongst the Imperiums fighting units.

    The Rahlian Iron Guard:
Created out of the ashes of the First Munkta Militia, the Rahlian Iron Guard swore to protect both the Imperium and their home world from all enemies both xenos and human. When the planet was invaded almost a century before, it had suffered a humiliating defeat as xenos forces hammered the planet with several asteroids that caused the planet to go through cataclysmic transformations. The newly transformed planet however survived and more surprisingly, so did its people.

Forging themselves in the intense radiation the planet was now bathed in, they became stronger and more resilient much like their Cadian counter parts and used their new found generational "inheritance" to further their warrior ancestry. All members of the Rahlian Iron Guard most undergo a ritual cleansing in the forges of the planets largest armory. Not all survive this test but those that do are given the honorary title of the true Iron Guard, hence why many of its members are either mute or heavily augmented from the traumatic experiences.

The formations of the Iron Guard are well respected for shock infantry tactics and due to their location as a forge world, they have access to much better equipment than most other Regiments. While not considered a Stormtrooper rank Regiment, the Iron Guard are heavy infantry with expertise in urban warfare and volcanic wasteland guerrilla warfare. Despite their lack of field armor, they have meshed well in past engagements with other armored Regiments leading to their historical name change to Panzer-Fusiliers or Tank Grenadiers.

    Physical Description:
Vassar stands at 2.1 meters in height and weighs in at a little over 81 kilos of well toned muscle and thickened bone. Due to the radiation covering her home world, her former eye color was lost during the Forging ritual and have resulted to keeping a blood red hue throughout both the iris and pupil. Ebony skin from the volcanic ranges make her body more suited to temperate climates though her hardened physique is more than capable of surviving most environments. Heavy scar tissue tears up most of her visible flesh in the form of ritual burns or shards of iron fused to her flesh which invent intricate aquilas in the stitched up flesh of her body.

Invisible to most viewers, her body has some augmentations that have been well hidden due to past engagements. During a skirmish against Ork raiders, Lance Corporal Rahl took a bayonet through her abdomen which ripped out most of her intestinal tract and nicked her spine. Through sheer determination and willpower, her body survived the engagement and as a gift from her commanding officer (who was also her father), underwent intense reconstructive surgery.

Primary Weapon 1: Merovech Pattern Assault Lasgun
Primary Weapon 2: Mezoa Pattern Meltagun
    Secondary Weapon 1: M37 Pattern Auto-Pistol
Secondary Weapon 2: Loi Pattern Power Axe
Equipment 1: 2 x Mk II Frag Grenade
    Equipment 2: 2 x Concussion Grenade
    Equipment 3: 1 x Satchel Charge
    Equipment 4: 1 x 211-V Lascutter
Armour: Munitorium Pattern Carapace Armour - Urban Coating - Rebreather attachment - Internal Microbead

    Quirks:
While not mute, Vassar rarely uses her voice or any visible gestures outside of combat which has made her somewhat of a lone wolf outside of the Rahlian Iron Guard. As such, most people have assumed that she either hates everyone equally or is actually mute.

  5. Seqeu Recruit

I'm interested if you guys are still looking for more participants in the RP. It would be my first RP experience on this site, so I would probably be a bit slow at the start. I do know lots of 40k lore.
Would my character have to be a Corporal, since the sergeant position is already taken?
  6. Tech-Captain Drakka TechCaptain Arkhona Vanguard

Yes still loking for more but corporal is full to so you can either be a basic trooper, a veteran, or some specialist position. For lore I will help.
  7. Since it's just one squad, we're looking at around 16 guardsmen and if you follow standard British Infantry tactics, would be:
    • Veteran Sergeant
    • Corporal
    • Medicae
    • Vox-Operator
    • Two Heavy Weapons Teams or One Special Weapons Team
      • HWT is a two man guardsman group which specializes in AT or AI support
      • SWT is a three man guardsman group which utilizes either grenade launchers/sniper rifles/plasma guns/melta guns/flamers to eliminate heavy opposition.
    • Two Rifle Sections
      • Three lasgunners or lasfusiliers each (essentially either lasguns or laslocks depending on the armaments available)
    • Two Assault Sections
      • Two heavy lasgunners or assault grenadiers each
      • AGs use hard round weaponry and normally carry the squads grenade supply
      • Heavy Lasgunners normally use overcharged lasguns with reinforced barrels and extended magazines to provide support fire
Historically the radioman or "vox-operator" would normally be a specialist weapons guardsman and normally covers a two part role. Most guardsmen would also be capable of using underslung weaponry such as limited use flamers, shotguns, and grenade launchers that would have to be hand loaded. Traditionally, the extra weight of underslungs normally makes them more harmful to the operator because it weighs down the barrel of the weapon making it harder to aim and bring to bear hence why even in the USMC and USAA they normally assign it to a single member of the rifle section.

If you're looking for a true to lore weapons manifest I have a mostly complete one for RPing purposes that you can use as a guideline. It contains almost all of the Imperial Guard weaponry variants and a few Adeptus Arbites as well though their weaponry and equipment can be used by Guardsmen, it's just rare.

  9. Fox Vulpas Well-Known Member

Alright I have a idea, For a Catachan grenadier.
  10. I get to yell and throw wrenches at recruits? Assault them on mess hall? Waterboard them at 3.15 am?
