'Yes sir!' Looking down the the bomb range there didn't seem to be any particular place to put the demo charge, at least not one that Hadrian could see at this distance he made a guess at a open area right at the end of the bomb range before he picked up the explosive device with both hands carrying it adjacent to his hip. He ran down to the end of the explosives practice range before placing the bomb down on the ground, the weight of the device had worn him out in a short space of time and the weapon landed on the floor with a disconcerting thud as he placed it. Checking to make sure the device was in order to the best of his knowledge Hadrian began running back to the safety of the bomb range booth close to where the Demolition pack vault was located. finding a nearby remote which he assumed was for the demolition charge he waited for the signal he was given orders for. He the had time to check if the remote detonator would actually set off the demo charge but he was unsure as of exactly how the detonation would work using said device, he would have to take his chances.
He remembered a piece of his indoctrination in the past. Some sort of push-mechanism to ready the charge. More importantly, he remembered that he had forgot to activate said mechanism. The charge was set, but it's reagents were not in proper position just yet. +Whomever else <Sergeant Fenigha> Once they reached the door, the man walked wordlessly up the stairs. But he suddenly stopped and turned around in the middle of the stairways, half-way to the top. "It seems I slacked and forgot to take my vox-box with me, could someone go to the briefing room and fetch it for me?" His voice was stern and strong as usual, his face serious and regal.
"Aye, Sergeant. Right away." Platonus saluted and turned back around jogging towards the briefing room. He didn't want to volunteer, but knew he'll probably get in trouble if he didn't speak up. So he hurried back to the briefing room, looking for the sergeant's vox-box. EDIT: @kanila ninja'd!
In a strange moment of divination Hadrian suddenly remembered he had forgot to activate the explosives device, looking back across the bomb range he realized that while the demolition charge was not activated it would not detonate even with the remote charge. Hadrian placed the remote detonator back on the bench and ran back out to where he had set the charge down. Upon reaching the device he managed to find the switch that would activate the device, the mechanism was stiff and hard to move and the boy very nearly strained himself trying to move the trigger until suddenly the switch moved into its on position and the device started beeping to indicate that it had been activated. Almost been knocked off balance by the effort of trying to activate the device Hadrian ran back to the bomb range booth to re-assume his position
"Aye. Ill hit it real good!" Icelos said in excitement. He sluggishly picked up the long weapon and put the barrel downrange. Keeping it up was a little hard, but he still managed to it up and keep it somewhat steady. Icelos took a few moments to sight in the rifle's optic, before seeing it down range. The forehead was the target and it was a hard one. It did test the boy's confidence in his self, but he trusted the Emperor to guide any of his shots...if he was worthy enough for his grace. Adding a round to the weapons chamber. He prepared to take the shot. Breath in... Breath out... With a sharp squeeze, Icelos fired the Sniper rifle.
<Sergeant Fenigha> He only chuckled once Platonus ran off and continued his ascension upstairs. Finally they came to an end and they entered an observational room from which they could see the entire training area on various screens. "Watch your brothers closely and analyze their moves. Feel free to comment what you would do different, or to ask of my opinion of their actions." The Sergeant said as they saw just now that Platonus reached half-way distance of the hall. Couple of minutes later he was back in the briefing room where by now it was completely empty. The Holo-Desk was still on though, and glowing in temptation... The shot indeed found goal in the target, but the moment the designated target was shot down, a target suddenly popped up in front of the sniper, at perhaps only 1 foot distance. (ooc: jumpscare style)
Hadrian stood ready in the bomb range booth the remote detonator grasped tightly in his hands, Icelos had not given confirmation of the targets elimination yet even though he had just fired, so he kept his finger off the trigger resisting the urge to make assumptions based on what was going on in the shooting range.
Icelos was startled at first but he didn't fire. He just froze up. He stopped looking at the scope to notice the target was just a few feet away and popped up, probably to scare him. Well it did and he became angry because of it. "Aye, Sergeant! What gives. Did the targets break or something!?"
<Sergeant Thrax Fenigha> He did not give reply, the boy had his orders received, instead he turned to his fellow trainees up in the observation booth with him. "What would you do in his shoes right now?" @kanila @PorOborosCain
