OOC: sorry for being MIA. Had a lot to do over the weekend. Saw we were continuing where we left off with new managment?
OOC: yes, temporary new management EDIT: Quick reminder @Xaphen just waiting on your reply before moving on right now.
OOC: @Donairian yea I figured, just wanted to give him the chance though. When the boy didn't respond, Sergeant Lent smirked, "Guess not." Sergeant Thrax shook his head in disapproval. The boy would not get far into the training if he keeps this up. He then turned to the last boy yet to have been questioned: Tukson (@PorOborosCain ). "Tukson, answer the question for him!"
OOC: from my research, The fire lords are a successsor chapter to the Imperial fists. They have a homeworld of Mundus Pyra or at the very least have a chapter fortress there. I'm sure our company is fleet faring and thus recruit beyond that world. But that doesn't mean we are a fleet based chapter. Perhaps it's best to begin the mission? I'm back and ready to move past introductions. Anyone else?
Ooc: the thing is though considering the scenario right now is that we are the first scouts to undergo this training to found the chapter how would we already have a homeworld? Unless the future of the fire lords chapter was predestined to have a fortress monastery on this planet we would technically be fleet based until otherwise made to settle down. In any case I am ready to move on too
OOC: We'll get there, it'll just depend on how quickly we can get past the few posts left. While it's not ideal that we've lost two of the actual players (I'm excluding myself since it'll be not entirely true to say I'm a player at the moment) I think we can get the first mission without much problems. Right now just for the sake of some fluidity, please endure the intros for another few posts. EDIT: @Donairian you're right there isn't a homeworld, it was a trick question. Other than that, just waiting on @PorOborosCain to reply right quick so that we can transition into the prep for the first mission.
@WanderingJester @Donairian @PorOborosCain @kanila @Xaphen OOC: Jester perhaps presented some info worse than I would have liked but yes we are fleet-based until the chapter eventually gets the homeworld, that was my intent to make it so since there are no date stamps on anything in Fire Lords history. <Sergeant Thrax Fenigha> "Now that you have reminded yourselves about the basics of our chapter, it would be good to prepare you exactly of what our role will be. Because our actual mission will be recon with potential use of demolition or assassination. The Kroot are tribe-based xeno-animals, similar to the Orks, but with slightly more brain. Just because you kill their leader, they won't run, but it will weaken their morale. After all, imagine I would be shot in the head in front of you all out of nowhere, how would you feel?" It was a rhetoric question and the Sergeant started to walk over to the armory, expecting the Scouts to follow as he makes a mere hand gesture for that. "Due to our flexibility I want mixed equipment among you. I will take close combat equipment, should we get discovered and we need to make a run. One of you will get a Sniper Rifle. One of you will carry explosives and light weapons. The rest will get regular equipment. So who of you has the guts to carry a bomb with the capabilities of destroying even a Rhino-Chassis and who has the mindset to make accurate shots?" Fenigha did not turn around as he continued his walk down the hallway.
Hadrian was completely unconcerned about what sort of equipment he would get highly explosive or otherwise, he had a rather aloof expectation of weapons of any kind seeing them more as functional items than items to be coveted, after all what use is a gun against something you can't see? Regardless though he appreciated fully the effect such specialist weapons would have when used appropriately and mentally he elected it would probably be better if he volunteered to take at least one. 'I can take the bomb if needed sir'
Shulk thought about the options presented to them. He would find it satisfying to split the skull of a kroot with a sniper rifle. But on the other hand he was unsure of his accuracy this early in his training. "I will take the standard load out Sergeant." He figured he would play it safe, he knew the bolter much better than the sniper rifle. It was integral for them to work as a team, which meant that the best shot should have the sniper rifle.
