Hey all, any of you have any idea what Sorc spells are best to have? Seems like several, but I've never played Sorc yet. Any suggestions would be great. Thanks

It depends on what you want to do...And if you are playing solo or with a premade.

Mainly in looking to be more of a healing support and buffing allies. Not really into a lot of the offensive powers. I have a custom load out now, but as there is 3 marks all with different spells, I'm at a loss as they all sound similar. Is tzeentch a good way to go for healing/support?

Nurgle heal provides healing and a toughness buff(or at least it did last time i checked)! On the other hand you could try Slaanesh and heal while also debuffing your enemies which in the current meta might be better.
Tzeentch heal is ...bad in my opinion.
  5. Pork Steam Early Access

Standart heal is a best for me coz speed of heal a great, what about second spell - using Tzeench flame, some times Daemon bolt, if u using it dont forget, u can aim it, by pressing CTRL and Mouse middle button

    Heals:

Foul Regeneration: Very strong single target heal, can literally make a single ally tough as nails to down if you hold it on them in a fight. All round good heal.

Boon of Change: A cast and forget heal, applies a decent heal over time on all the allies around you. Is good if you are not willing to spend allot of time healing.

    Flesh Circle:
AoE healing and damage mitigation (as long as you are channeling). Aint the best heal around but since its AoE it has it shining moments, when you pickup a whole room of downed allies at the same time. Plus its not bad to channel it as your allies advance, the damage mitigation is nothing to scoff at. Not too good on single target healing.

Hysterical Frenzy: Its a chain heal, meaning any ally you hit, every other ally around him will be healed. You can also channel it on yourself and run around being a "beacon" of healing, but i think the "chained" allies get less healing, so its better to directly target allies. Its not very good as a heal, probably heals the slowest and eats Warp Charge the fastest. But it also chains every enemy around the target you are healing and applies a damage debuff (those enemies receive more damage).

    "Offensive" powers:

Warp Instability: It makes your enemies take allot more damage, allot more then Hysterical Frenzy or the Lash of Slaanesh offer. Its a very good power if you dont mind not doing any damage. Combined with any ranged weapon of an ally you will slice through people like butter. It works with melee allies too, but really shines when combined with ranged allies. The downside is needing to have allies who can get a clue and actually focus the thing you are debuffing.

Flickering Fire: Just give this one a pass, its in a very crappy state atm.

Stream of Corruption: A decent power but costs allot of Warp Charge, will "fight" with your healing for Warp Charge if you want to use it effectively. Can bypass the Shieldbros shield, so thats a big plus. Can also latch onto Swooping Hawks and do them in pretty nicely, since you dont really have to target it all that much (it being an aimbot spell...). Its decent if you like the concept of weakening enemies for your allies to finish off more easily. Since it has a decent range you can douse enemies in poison long before they engage you or your allies, so they will enter the fray weakened. Also never underestimate how much people make mistakes in melee as they are looking at their health bar melting away from poison, psychological warfare and all that.

Lash of Slaanesh: Its pretty good, but very short range. You will need to be up close to use this one. However, if you can aim (since it has a charge up time), it can be devastating. It does a decent amount of damage but also applies the same damage debuff the Hysterical Frenzy does, which combined with a few bolt pistol shots or a fast attack spells a dead enemy in allot of cases. It also has the nifty perk of staggering enemies, so if someones shooting at you and you lash them they will stop shooting for a moment, which makes for a very powerful shut down tool (especially good on Heavy Weapon classes, as they cannot even charge up their weapon to attack you or your allies). It also bypasses Shieldbros shield, have fun with that.

Deamonbolt: Now that its speed and damage is buffed its not bad, but very situational. Expect to be murdering allies left and right if you dont use it at the right time. Its basically a weaker Plasma Cannon. But unlike the Plasma Cannon you can take control of the actual missile and guide it with the aim function, which can lead to some good kills. Overall a very niche and costly spell, sadly seldom useful in our maps.

    Answers my questions. Thanks!

If you want to heal only :
    Go with the default heal.
    Best charge / heal ratio.

Avoid Tzeentch. (that hurts my heart)

Nurgle ans Slaanesh are only good if you plan to stick in midzise to large groups (running around with ONE buddy does NOT pay because of the higher charge costs)

Anyway : Slaanesh can also be used to get some assist xp for debuff (NICE that that was added :D love it !!!)

If you want to melee :
    Go for ground assault.
Supports will be nerfed (or are they already?) for melee so don't get used to it ^^

If you want to use chaos attack spells :
    Nurgle.

The slaanesh whip MAY be good in an experienced hand.
    So you MAY skip that.

The flickering flame is nice but since the heal and the armor problem .....
Anyway there was (or is?) a bug where the flame does too less damage.
    Djemo-SRB likes this.
  10. Flickering Fire in action:

It doesn't do anything. It's just pretend.
