That topic has been brought up Anthrillien, I think it's Valerius we shouldn't let see? I'm sure he was against Harlequins as an Elite Class. Though they would be SOOO fun to play. Perhaps we'll just end up with Exarchs as our Elite Classes? But so far Elite Classes tend to be ELITES from Table Top... so, who knows.

I like the idea of Harlequins, but I am wary they won't do them justice.
It would be a shame to have the Harlies ruined for everyone.

Indeed, that's why I think we should let them out of there, at least for now.

I don't think that was what he meant, and btw making the Harlies playable as a hero class won't help much to keep them as awesome that they really are in the lore imo - I'm okay with the fact that they sacrifice some part of it for the sake of gameplay, yet when it comes to Harlies it should either be 100% true to it or nothing at all.

Why are harlequins such a special case with 100% true to lore or nothing ?

Valerius seems to be of the same opinion.. I guess they're just so good it would be an absolute shame to nerf them down JUST to have them included in the game? Otherwise they would be one POWERFUL Elite Class.. I think Hero Classes are reserved for HQ type units.

With that said, i've only seen the Lore represented in the Eldar Codex so i'm under the impression they're awesome, but not so awesome they would have to be dulled down to be represented properly. That said the amount of skill it would take to play one if they were represented as the lore states would be a lot.. all that acrobatics and melee....

Flip-Belts, clothes which explode in holograms of color to keep the enemy disoriented, masks showing the faces of their loves ones as the Eldar essentially glide and flip into assault with Harlequin's kisses.. Yeah, would be hard to do. They would take Eldar acrobatics to a whole new level.
