'Id like it if you had to spec in a class to drive certain vehicles. Perhaps as a way to prevent everyone from leveling one thing you can introduce lock in. For example, using Eldar. You start out as guardian, then level up. from here you can choose one of the aspects, or become a warlock. Say you choose to become a Warp Spider, from here you level up, and can either become an Exarch, or pick a different Aspect. If you do every Aspect without becoming an Exarch, you have the potential to be an Autrach. To prevent people from being permanently locked in as an Exarch, perhaps permanant death could be a thing? You would just lose levels and start as a guardian again, you wouldn't actually lose items, just be unable to use them until you get to the level or Aspect in which you could. Permanent death would have a meta-effect as well, so for example the Eldar can summon an Avatar of the War God, but would require an Exarch to voluntarily sacrifice his or herself. The concept of Permanant death would mean that say you are a new player, and see an Autrach, you would be freaked out, because this guy has lived long enough to master every Aspect of Eldar Warfare, however this person would also be a huge target for enemies. This concept could in theory, allow somewhat OP classes balanced out by the fact numbers can kill them, and the time required to rank so high would be deemed worth it. For Vehicles like WraithLords, you could perhaps have those be A.I. Controlled, but would do random stuff and be really stupid in combat unless someone specced as a SpiritSeer is controlling them. In regards to large numbers of Warlocks/Farseers, make it take quite a while for any sort of progression in the trees; permanent death should sort them out.
The problem with that is it's exclusive to eldar for the most part and just gives an extra headache to us, space marines barring a few exceptions can change out their wargear to suit the battle, if this forum is an indication we are (with orks) much smaller (or just nothing to talk about) then the astartes/chaos.
not really, seeing as if a space marine dies he should restart as a scout, chaos would be split up among various groups as well. orkz will be orkz.
I believe they stated when you die you can change your wargear, having to re-unlock half of it when you die, which will probably be quite often, is an unneeded chore, as you will probably never make it past scout without dying.
unlikely you would make it past a few levels without dying... if you were good, or just camp in a vehicle and we can do planetside 2 all over again because no one would have high level unlocks.
Howling Banshees because everyone likes to scream at their enemies as they rip them limb from limb with deadly precision But I Dire Avengers seem flexible and able to fulfill many roles whereas some if they are in the wrong situation will be screwed. =P I would probably have a go with all of the Aspects just to see how well I do with all of the Aspects. =)
howling banshee and swooping hawk (banshee favorized). also probably warlock/farseer. phantoms would be fun i think. xD
