---Off Topic--- Given Eternal Crusade has an optional subscription already available it's likely that they will have one after launch too with added perks for more incentive and gratitude provided (subscription won't be mandatory). Currently it only gives RTP every month with increased amount given over the duration, max giving 16,000 RTP per month at months 10+.
Hmm; I would think come launch the RTP becomes the in-game shop for everything, weapons, helmets, other cosmetics etc. After all, I think it would be a bit harsh if only founders can have a viper jetbike/attack bike.. A one-year subscription gives 156.000 points, for either 88.8€; or 120 US $. In terms of "RTP per €", this puts it slightly above the captain pack (150.000 RTP), for the same cost. The captain pack of course does include the game itself, and a banner. Where-as, if you keep the subscription going for say, 2 years, it becomes a pretty big difference. What about upgrade packs however: I'm a warrior, upgrading to captain would cost me 80 $ for 110.000 RTP. 110/80>156/120; the upgrade pack wins. Boss bundle: 50$= 57.500. 5 month subscription: 54.000 If this game becomes a success, that subscription bundle could be pretty interesting over the other packs..
----Off Topic---- The Rogue Trader store is for "Pay to look cool" side-grades & cosmetics, there will be in-game equivalents obtainable. There's some stuff said about it in the Q&A Answers thread such as Question 10 here, this can be similar for attack bike equivalents as in start off with 1 seater and can upgrade to 2 seats with in-game resource. The RTS will of course still be around after launch. Players will also be getting stuff in-game from loot crate rewards for battles, class progression and an in-game shop using in-game resource (though this was brought up when Requisition Points (RP) was still around). Details aren't known they've only been mentioned in 2 old progression & economy threads with MichaelChan (Game Designer), here & here. To my understanding NoahWard (Game Designer) is primarily handling game economy. Can try poking them for more details or ask when twitch/forum Q&As are open. Banners were initially a perk for certain Founder packs but were then removed under the reasoning that they should be treated as something more special in status. Nathan talks a bit about them in livestream Warp Echoes #6 and says "If you bought a banner don't worry we'll make it up to you." Q: [41:25] Where are the banners and when will they appear in the store? A: We will find a role for them. Currently only group-leaders have banners. - in livestream Warp Echoes #6, last question, Twitch Episode Summaries thread. The Founder Store description was updated to say "Other unique items" after this announcement. Also likely for Heroes to get banners such as a Warboss.
Can we change the apperaance details in game by ourselves?Like some one may like their character with a mask while others may like keep their masks on all the time.
Yes we will be able to customize our characters appearance as well as their stats. Masks are part of the helmet or if you mean something like this here it would still be classified as a "helmet" because it's a headpiece. Devs already confirmed that players will have the option to remove them if they want. 10. Will we ever see a face designer for each faction and following that be able to equip and unequip a helmet? BRENT ELLISON: Helmet-less characters are still planned but won’t be present for the initial Founder Access. - in Q&A Answers Compilation Thread page 3 post #21. Q: [51:52] Can you give any information on Character creation? A: You will have a no-helmet option and be able to pick a head. - in Twitch Episode Summaries page 4 post #28. Unknown if there is any gameplay effects attached to this choice (ie more head damage & no/less HUD elements) or if it's purely cosmetic. I think it should be a simple toggle on/off in options or in the character/class menu and purely cosmetic.
Helmetless Characters? Don't tell Craftworld Altansar... Finally Eldar Suspicion over what lies beneath will be revealed : P
Helmetless would be awesome!! Alternate shrine patterns would be nifty too, but I understand the extra work that this might entail. Will Exarchs be available or just be randomly assigned as squad leaders?
I think they will allow a lot of customization, but still need to be able to tell what the class is with some degree.
We don't know yet but squad leaders will have a visual indication that they are a squad leader even if only by the emblem thingy above their backpack, this also represents the aura buff they provide to their squad. The aura buff being the only special trait of a squad leader. Maybe they'll get other unique load out options in the future. It's likely to me that Exarchs will be Elite Classes such as the "Veteran" (whatever they decide to call it for Eldar) in class progressions which will increase the load out limit as well as having a distinct cosmetic appearance. So far it's the only Elite/Hero said to have a customizable load out. It was also said in a recent livestream that this will be the first Elite class we see when they get around to adding these classes. There of course can be more than just the "Veteran" Exarch.
^Basically that, except I have to comment regarding the Veteran. I believe that the concept of being a Veteran is all together linked to progression/the loadout system. By spending a certain amount of EXP on a class (or something equivalent, not quite sure) you get the option to unlock that class as a Veteran, which gives you more loadout points, higher customisability etc. in your normal iteration of that class. It won't be an Elite Class, the comment that was made was that even before Elite Classes are looked at the Veteran system would have to go in, among other things.
