Behold! The Power Lightsaber edition! Please don't encourage Lucas Arts. Lightsabers designs are being destroyed ever since that silly cross guard was invented.

I think that to promote the idea of us being from a particular craftworld we will be locked into a particular palette for that craftworld. e.g If you are Saim-Hann you would have access to Red, white and black. Probably you would be limited as to how much white or black you can use because those are generally seen as Saim-Hann's colours. GW have stated, however, that there is some variation in colours within a CW. For example, one codex showed Biel-Tan having an option to replace their white with a pale grey. Farseers and the like often swap round their colours. Aspect Warrior shrines offer more variation. Some Aspect shrines stick closely to their Aspect's colours with only perhaps a rune showing their craftworld or perhaps a coloured sash or plume. Others might turn that around completely having the majority of their armour in Craftworld colours with only a small part of their armour in their Aspect's colours. Or anywhere in between, of course. Shrines to the same Aspect within a single craftworld can take different approaches to each other.
Problem with that is that Banshees pretty much come in White, reapers come in Black or Midnight Blue and Dragons are either red or orange, to the exception of pretty much everything else. In many cases the Aspect has its own livery that obviates Craftworld etiquette.
Note my emphasis in your statement. It has long been established that Aspect Shrines can vary their uniform colours. Further, that some choose to go predominately for their Craftworld colours and retain only secondary colouring of their Aspect. This would give players the choices between two different palettes to personalize their character while maintaining an authentic feel. Our statements are not contradictory unless you choose to take 'many' to mean 'all' which is clearly illogical. I confess to being slightly puzzled by the idea of choosing a particular Craftworld and Aspect then not wanting to wear the colours from either . That's like picking Imperial Fists and then complaining that you don't want to be yellow. To be blunt, I'm not sure why it is a 'problem'. You're in someone else's army now.
apart from aesthetic considerations there is the obvious advantage given to the enemy if Eldar players are stuck in Aspect colour schemes ... while the LSM/CSM colour schemes reveal to the enemy their chapter and therefore their subfaction trait (once these are actually added to EC that is), Eldar Aspect colours however would show an enemy observer from a distance the players class, their weapon loadout options, expected tactics etc etc
