How about different colours between shrines. There is a good chance that some shrines mix craftworld and aspect colours.

yes I've seen painted Eldar armies, I've even owned one,

and on the TT I've seen more Eldar armies where they are all painted in craftworld colours (with a few exceptions) then having each Aspect painted differently

  4. I always painted them per the aspect as opposed to the craft world, only the bog standard eldar got craft world colours in my army, but this was along time ago when aspect warriors were new. Feeling old but as we only had two eldar armies in my circle of friends I don't know if I am unusual or usual.

Well if you think you have seen more that have the craft world colours no point arguing. But if they want to stick to the lore you shouldn't be able to change your aspect colour.

That's...just not true. The Codices are full of examples of Aspect Warriors with variant colouration indicating their Craftworld. Hell, the most famous scheme for the Howling Banshees is this one:

Which is a Biel-Tan variant in and of itself (the green sashes with the Biel-Tan thorn motif, and the green crest on the Exarch's helm). I would fully expect to see Howling Banshees from Saim-Hann sporting red sashes with the Cosmic Serpent glyph on them, or those from Ulthwe with black sashes carrying the Eye of Isha.

For the record I'm perfectly fine with no colour customisation beyond the combination Aspect-Craftworld 'presets'. We should have customisation in form of weapon pennants, sashes, gemstones, runes and other minor tokens, and that should be sufficient. If an Ulthwe Warlock can wear anything but Black-with-White-Designs as the primary schema, then we can expect to see Space Wolves wandering around in Thousand Sons colours. Because I'll make an alt and do it.

I'm not talking about sashes and gem stones I'm talking about the amour colour. That is fine just can't change the whole colour. But yes I agree that only being able to customize your gem ect would be fine.

I really dont see why having a choice between the classic Aspect and craftworld colour palettes seems like a big deal

I'm all for customisable sashes, banners, runes etc.

I think Aspects Warriors should stick to a combination of Craftworld and Aspect shrine colour schemes. Don't forget there are also many different shades of the same colour that could be used.
