SO would corsairs experiment one what they would use in battle and possibly make weapons that kill quickly and without pain for there victim? Basically What are the elder rules on technology and such. I hear each craft world has different traditions so how are eldar using all the same aspect pathes. Like do eldar sometimes use there tech to help brith rates or try to help them give birth or will they only use there traditional know how. If they put out a codex on audio book would you listen to it. Or if one of us read it to you and you listens to the file?
Honestly @Uriel1339 the Warhammer Wiki is as good as Lexicanum as far as I can tell, no dishonour there. They both use proper references though of course, both are also publically editable. But they're as good as each other. And as long as everyone knows when you are doing this and when you are not, then that too is no problem
The Aspect Paths are highly ritualised and that's why they are more or less the same - they all follow the teachings of their particular Phoenix Lord, eg Dire Avengers follow the teaching of Asurmen. You do get local variations, but they are all recognisably the same Aspect. Their wargear is part of the ritual, so that's why Dire Avengers all have shuriken catapults, for example You beat me to it @Vulpas I would legit do this for you, Veloshka.
I have seen at least 3 cases of Fanon being turned into Canon, that is when I was like "Well no more Wh40k Wikia" most notably Weapon Patterns and Chapter information. Lexicanum is so far the only site I know that actually cares about sourcing enough to keep it 'pure'. Regards the Audiobooks, perhaps. Perhaps not. Depends on quality, and if GW would do it they would be 60 bucks each anyway, so hell no. lol. Addendum: @Vulpas - You should ask those questions in the Eldar Sub-Forum or in your Lore Debate thread, I think. Not in the middle of a RP planning thread.
Well, here is the votes as they stand so far (including what @Jorimel would have voted) Dire Avengers - 2 Votes (@Jorimel @Nurianis) Striking Scorpions - 5 Votes (@Casavay @Jorimel @Maleth @BadDo9 @DeranVendar) Warp Spiders - 5 Votes (@Uriel1339 @DeranVendar @Jorimel @BadDo9 @Nurianis) Fire Dragons - 4 Votes (@DaKaptin @Jorimel @BadDo9 @Nurianis) Dark Reapers - 2 Votes (@Casavay @Jorimel) Shadow Spectre - 1 Vote (@Valonox) Player-Made Aspect - 4 Votes (@Uriel1339 @Vulpas @BadDo9 @Maleth) So, it seems that I need to choose between either Scorpions or Spiders. As I think (and wait a few more hours before beginning the IC thread (probably)) feel free to post and try to sway me either way. Also feel free to try and sway me and other players towards one of the other options, if you so desire.
Warp Spiders because they can shoot and are good in melee too with their claws! They also can teleport. I love Warp Spiders.
I adore Warp Spiders, but I have played one, so if it comes to a tie-breaker I am tempted to vote Scorpions. But, you know, I did enjoy playing Karashan'we, so ... And I've played a Scorpion, and I enjoyed being Jyraielle, so ... if it comes to a tie-breaker I'm not a good person to ask!
