As an Ork I say I'm out until next patch

Hey dudes, if it makes you feel any better, I've lost the last 4 games against Orks as a CSM, and I'm feeling a little frustrated too :(

So if nothing else, you guys are kicking the shit out of me at least.

I just picture you fighting the eldar like this.

As far as beating chaos goes I've been curious how we manage to win vs them most of the time as we lose out in melee due to the stuns at every turn and our ranged isn't quiet as good.

Also to the guy who said that the shoota is higher dps than the bolter it's actually not as far as I know it's literally 1/2 the damage of a bolter with double the clip size and around 40-50% bonus fire rate but the accuracy is garbage in comparison... You're actually landing so few bullets that the dps of the bolter is better by accuracy alone.

Within a 5 meter range while aiming with the improved accuracy at the cost of vertical recoil I usually come out of a fight vs a equaled skilled player with under 5% health around 1/2 the time.... AKA it's roughly the same though the shoota loses out in every way post 5 meters.

I had a bunch of good games VS DLB last night, won some lost some. I need to figure out how those rockets work though so I can fight them since drox kept kicking my ass with them.

I don't really understand what you guys are talking about. Are these issues unique to the Orks? Has anyone actually playtested this? I keep seeing the constant whining bandied about but where is the video doc evidence? When I play Space Marines they were whining too. It seems like each faction just likes to whine about how UP their faction is.

I've noticed a few bugs, for example the strong attack seems to still clang against D bash, d bash no longer causes the first fast attack to clang, charge attack seems to have a delay and sometimes when I melee attack it doesn't register and he just stands there.

Also I've noticed the second fast attack in a row going through the car door shield when I'm blocking. The first will clang then the second will go straight through the front of the block.

However I don't know if those are universal bugs for every class or not now. Also, I'm really hating the fact that d bash stuns regardless of whether you fast attack now, so it can be chained. It's harder to strong attack when by the time your attack is charged you get kick-stunned in close quarters.

The shoota though I think was more closely equalized with the boltgun last patch with the accuracy mod. With a few more attachments with parity w/ boltgun - textured grips etc I think it's decent. Shoota boy feels alright. It's disadvantaged at range though. I feel like the hit markers helped.

Most people also don't complain about loota.
  5. Lootas are about the one thing that does kinda work for the Orks. Only real issue that they have is they can't aim down from a lot of ramparts on various maps. So not very useful for defending.
  6. You can't fight Drox and his rockets. Both his enemies, and his team mates have learned this. xD

orks just need more durability and impact.
make all their weapons have higher impact than the equivilant tier. knuckleduster beats knife. choppa beats chainsword, power klaw beats powerfist, etc. orks are the strongest species, they should win clashes
  8. Redfingers Recruit

Wouldn't that just be a 100% unadulterated advantage over every other faction?

Also, Ork boys in tabletop are rated strength 3, the same as Eldar. Space Marines are rated strength 4. Only nobs are rated strength 4, which is, oh yeah, the same as a Space Marine.

NT though. BTW in lore space marines are 8 foot tall genetically engineered supermen wearing augmented power armor.

I think it's a good idea, but yeah, given your point it should be that Eldar clang against equivalent Ork weapons and Orks clang against equivalent SM/CSM weapons. But, ya know, not change things outside the weapon's tier. (i.e. Eldar chainsword won't be stopped by SM knife, etc.) Maybe to reflect furious charge, ork boyz move up to SM/CSM force-levels when they do the charge-attack?
I think that would more accurately reflect the lore and allow a bit more play into a faction's strengths and weaknesses.

Except that's not the whole story, since orks have more attacks, eldar and space marines attack at a higher initiative (e.g. strike first), and orks have furious charge which gives them +1 strength the turn they charge.

All that's well and good for a complicated case of asymmetric balance, but why not just leave it the way that it is where everyone is mostly equal and no one has a ridiculous racial advantage in clangs.
