Arent we all excited about this game?!?! Cant wait to bash some space marines with my accursed crozious! (I bet there wont be an accursed crozious weapon but a power maul and a bit of imagination suffice!) Ill be often in the forums , semi-roleplaying as a word bearer , my favourite legion. Its nerdy but who cares , its fucking awesome and i havent had the chance to roleplay warhammer for years! Im still building up my portfolio but i have some warhammer fanart to show already and i can promise , there will be much more of it in the future! Thank you I find it quite impossible to happen considering that this is work i did not raise profit from. I did not use GW's IP to make money so im not offending them in any way. I always state that my fanarts are fanarts and not personal pieces so im not hiding anything either. They really dont have a reason to go after me , after all when someone creates a fanart , its like he advertises the product he draws for free. In NewGrounds.com this artwork of mine has been front-paged and received 5.848 views. Its a community that has a very small WH fanbase so , if i did anything , i spread awarness of GW's product. Consider how many fanarts of warhammer or marvel or DC are uploaded every day on the internet. I think its safe to assume that the companies are actually counting on it After all the reason im a warhammer fan is all those awesome artworks that attracted my attention in the first place
I'm with you but they don't seem to care.. Beasts of War loves and promotes GW yet they have rabidly attacked them consistently to the point of causing them to have to re-structure. I've heard horror stories from other artists. Like I said I'm an artist as well and I'm really just trying to give a heads up. As long as you're not selling anything I don't see them doing anything more than sending one of those cease and desist letters they seem to love so much. EDIT: My personal experience did involve another company and a very public lawsuit. I can't list specifics but I can say that receiving court-signed demands for the contents of your hard drive and e-mail accounts is very nerve-wracking.
Thank you my green , fungal friend! As a word bearer i aspire to dedicate works to all Four. My current warhammer project is a word bearer but it will take some time as im working on plenty of stuff. Yes mate , i have been following these events and i know full well what happens to people who mess with GW's red lines. Both parties were miniature making companies though , im nowhere near that and neither do i plan on making my miniature range anytime soon (even though id like to work as a concept artist for one.) I see your point and i have considered it many a times before. I wouldnt want to mess with a company as big as GW and neither would i like to be marked as a thief or anything indecent. Im just a humble artist who loves to create and has a strong passion for GW's IP. As i said , people like me are the ones who trully spread awarness of a company's product. I can assure you that i would have no idea about warhammer if not for the fanarts. Also , if they decided to go for artist hunting they should rip appart half the internet. As an artist im sure you are aware of the amount of warhammer fanartists in DA and other sites. At the very least it would be pointless and they would spent more than they would win from the whole thing. Cheers!
