Guys i'm a huge noob when it comes to stuff like this, how exactly do I play the OFP mod? I've downloaded it from ModDB and did all the instalation instructions but now when I open Arma: Cold War Assault it just opens normally, how do I search for a game? And before you ask, I did set the launch options on Steam.
You should be able to see mod's single missions in Single Mission menu and if you have any campaigns in Campaign menu. If you don't see these there apart from the original OFP missions\campaigns you must download some from the same site first.
As for multiplayer you won't be able to play when the server is not set up, ask the guys, they do it sometimes.
Single player missions don't show and the campaigns keep getting errors, bummer, I must have done something wrong, I wanted this mostly for the multiplayer but if it's not working screw it, I just wanted an excuse to play Arma 1 since I got it for free and am no fan of the franchise.
But this is Arma 2 we're talking about in this thread. Maybe you were thinking of OFP WH40k mod which runs on OFP? Anyway, I dunno, you should ask Mark Turner or Lady from Hell, they created both mods (two guys in the posts above ).
Do you have the units and maps in the editor though? Because the single player missions dont show for me either, but the mod works asides from that.
why did you not tell me this? Any and All SP missions Files Must be placed in the "Missions Folder" In the First DLC "@OFPWH40Kv3" You Will find : AddOns folder Campaigns folder Missions folder Impfistslogo icon Inside the "Missions Folder" You Will Find:**These are all the SPmissions** Chaos folder Necrons folder ORKS folder SP_Armageddon folder Space Marines folder Tau Missions folder ++ Take these folders and cut/past them into your OFP/ArmACWA Missions Folder Once you have done that, Run your Game, once in main Screen, go to your "Single Missions" You Should see a List that match the same as above, Chaos, Necrons,ORKS etc.. Click on any one of them to see the lists of those Missions and play. AS for the "Campaigns"folder, It can stay where it's at from The install, as the Game will Find it when you Are in the Main Screen and click on "Campaigns" I Hope this Helps. *+*+ Also there is a "README" Doc. that tells you how to Install the Game. *+*+
Oh well,i usually play the campaigns or mess around with the editor, the lack of single missions doesnt bother me that much. Still,it worked, thanks.
