Hi all, I've been playing an old favorite of mine, ARMA2 and decided to have a go at making a MOD, and as i cant freaking wait for EC i thought id make some kind of Space Marines mod. i made a bit of progress with the modeling and making a playable game mode and just wanted to share what iv done so far with you lot. Also if anyone is interested in helping with this just get in touch with me. This is the first test of a mission created with what i have so far. So not all things are exactly correct or true to 40k, i know terminators don't have bolters . also due to the way the game works and the amount of work involved for 1 person, the models cant fit to true 40k scale, and therefore have been made to fit the games scale, in my opinion this isn't to much of a problem for just a mod for another game (i know some disagree ) all in all its been a lot of learning, from 3d modeling, scripting, Photoshop, the mission editor, (bad) sound editing...l and more. I'm pleased with how it feels, and you do feel really powerful. since this video I have added other variants to the Terminator model, including a version equipped with Cyclone Missile Launcher and a terminator captain with more 'Bling'. a test video of the cyclone missile strike is in the second link. Thanks for looking and for any feedback, and glad to see the EC website back up UK_SPAWN
Holy ****... Some fin work there. I liked what you did with the low pitch voice, cant wait to see some imperial guard or tyranids. (If you put in tau I will come over to you're house and shut you up so I can give you my money)
lol, looking at tau units, they will probably be the easiest quite square etc. if this Space Marine one works out I will try to do some other races. but i dont even have textures for the guys or anything yet.. still a lot of work to be done
Indeed keep it going This was the guy we were talking to and testing for him http://www.indiedb.com/members/ladiefromhell Give him a shout he might be able to help
thanks, i will be doing another video soon hopefully, showing a few more ideas and also a little bit of CO-OP multi-player (if my guys have time to test it with me) thanks for the comments,
Hope to see you in there, although you will need a proper copy of Arma2 and Arma2: Operation Arrowhead to play. Thanks for your interest.
