I quite like the name of the planet, and the piece itself! But makes me wonder... Is Mcneil a folk metal fan? 'cos... Heh. Would want to see Reynolds do the Chaos short story, assuming there will be one!
I've been thinking about the short story at work today, and for some reason I can remember another SM in a story killing a carnifex by shoving a grenade in its mouth. Does anyone else remember this? It's been bugging me all day
I wouldn't really expect there to be a story about each chapter/clan/craftworld. Given that there's five subgroups per faction that's quite a lot of short stories. Maybe we'll be that lucky but it doesn't strike me as a high priority. But then, there's a lot of time between now and launch.
speaking of rainbow warriors. It sounds clumsy at the moment like space shark does till it's translated into latin or high gothic, you'll never know their marshal prowess imposed in those names.
Yep, It was just the balancer in me. And some hope. Two years is a long time, if every faction get a story about every chapter (including or not the ones yet to be chosen) is a good way to keep up the interest of the fans, and it dont have to be vids, screens, concept arts, etc what you get usually. Lore is equally exciting for me even in baby steps, like the name of the planet in the first story.
Should the weapons used and tyranids seen in the story be considered things to be seen in EC ? Fighting carniflexes sounds fun.
I'm sure that we'll see a Carnifex somewhere in EC. If not on the open battlefields then in one of the PvE or PvEPvP dungeons
I rather liked the story, but considering its only problably the 2nd piece of 40k literature ive read, my words mean nothing
