In the stands opposite the lordly Archon and his unimpressed bride, a languid figure reclined. The theatre box shape of her chosen viewing platform allowed her a grandstand view, though she didn't look too interested. Of course, given the nature of the primary inhabitant, this could be a pose. Kyrana the Wych, sometime aspiring Succubus of the Cult of the Serpent's Kiss and now celebrating her promotion to Hekatrix (courtesy of a skillful combination of violence and blackmail; sometimes the old ways are the best) lounged on her velvet cushions. The colour complimented her pale skin, which was good as a clash would have clashed with a lot. She wore what was technically a black dress, or at least made reference to one. She brought up what looked like a pair of very technical opera glasses. "Can you make these things zoom any closer?" She passed them to the man in red robes on the next seat (not too close) and he took them with a mechanical attachment that snaked from somewhere on his back. Two other such held a drink and some kind of data slate, on which he calculated the odds of each match. He began to adjust the lenses in some kind of technical manner to which the Wych did not pay attention, chuntering away in binaric. She intercepted the bottle of expensive dreamwine from the man in a maintained, but slightly scruffy Imperial Guard uniform as he sat on her other side and took a sip. "Slowly, we savour dreamwine, we do not knock it back like a mon... " Sh sighed, shaking her head. Humans were harder to train then they looked. "... like a grox at a watering-hole." No sense in wasting all of such a fine vintage. She sighed a little. Neither of her unaugmented Humans could be persuaded to wear something a little more fashionable. At least red was always in style in the Dark City. Kyrana looked up and accepted the bowl of popcorn from her other Human with a radiant smile. The medic smiled in return and sat down behind her, covering the entrance of the box with his lasrifle. That the Wych trusted him to sit behind her while armed was quite telling. Kyrana beamed indulgently at the faithful trooper and resumed her watching of the fight. It looked like something interesting might happen soon. Plus, she could hear him breathing and the slow patter of his Human heartbeat, so she knew precisely where he was. Adorable.
~~ Arena 6 ~~ Team 6 - The Beauty & The Beast vs. Team 11 - Purgatory Drach @Colapse (Dark Eldar Incubus) vs. Sister Hindenburg (Battle Sister; Flamer) Skud @GobMaw_HellSmasha (Ogryn) vs. Sister Lindenbach (Sister Dominion; Melta) The Sister pressed the trigger the same moment the massive Ogryn ram his weapon into her back and caused her to skid across the floor, landing right at the feet of the Incubus, completely exposed and helpless against his final attack. "YOU MAY KILL ME, BUT YOU WILL DIE IN THIS ARENA, FILTHY ALIEN! BY THE EMPEROR'S WILL THIS ENTIRE WORLD WILL BURN TO THE GROUND!" 2H Ripper Gun vs. Lindenbach => 1 hit (2 dmg) => 4 HP left 2H Klaive vs. Lindenbach => 2 hits (4 dmg) => 0 HP left Drach 6 HP left, Skud 6 HP left OOC: Final Fatality, then move into Champion's Gathering.
<Theta-Xi> When the apparent leader of this whole charade offered the 'One Armed bandit' the choice of allies for the next set of fights, Theta-Xi decided not to rush the choice for while he was still combat capable, whoever he was partnered with would most likely suffer from him not being at 100% efficiency... Not that he couldn't improve it. Seeing as he needed a good partner that could make up for his inefficiencies he pointed at Yasmilina and said "The Wych shall suffice." <Orevara-Fatality> When Orevara closed in for the kill, she said "Sorry, but our survival is a little more important than yours." before cleaving the Tau's head into two diagonally cut pieces, and the blade carried on through the now certainly dead Tau, lopping off his other arm before she kicked over the corpses in one fluid motion. Just as quickly as she had slew the Tau, the Phantom Tiger stalked off. <Orevara- Champion's Gathering> When she arrived at the Gathering, Orevara was taken aback at how diverse the Dark Kin had made the fighting, with an Ork, fellow Aspect Warriors, mon'keigh of all kinds and even the Dark Kin themselves were all in the Arena. At least she had been given something to heal up her wounds, even if nothing could be done for the rear of her amour. That just meant that she had to be careful to avoid getting shot in the back again.

However, so many Mon'keigh. Comorragh must have degraded lately in quality of warriors that they accept the human's sloppy nature as anything near 'combat'. Oh well, that will make it easier for us two, to survive." He shouldered his fellow Aspect Warrior playfully, holding his massive Sunray Cannon battle-ready. Wary the Blazing Sun looked around and made a quick check-up through the ranks of participants, not seeing really any threat. Especially the One-Armed Mechanical Human and the Wych wouldn't be much of a problem with such handicap. Why by all means a Sorcerer of Slaanesh was amongst them he didn't understand at all. The Ork, well. Orks were bloodthirsty, so that was a safe bet to meet at least one of those brutes here. The Astartes would be a fun, but intense challenge on the other hand, nothing the energy of suns could not take care of - in the end. Yup. Victory was looking pretty good, for it bore the face of Zontaran-Kyalis.
<Arena 6> With a contemptuous look, Drach sliced downwards and Sister's head was separated from her body. Picking it up, after a moment of consideration he threw it in the stands, more for fun than anything else for the Incubus sucked her soul essence and fed on her pain already, leaving only scraps for the crowd. Turning on his heels, he marched out of the arena, not sparing a single glance towards the Ogryn. <Champion's Gathering> Arriving in the new chamber, Drach kept to himself and didn't care to mingle with the aliens or the filthy mon'keigh. He was here to fight and nothing else mattered for the moment.
-Champions Gathering - Slagface Slagface stood there confused by the panzee's words. He was going to be able too choose a partner for himself? Why the zog would he choose a partner? These bunch of snivilin Grotz weren't even suitable too shine his boots. If anything, he'd pick the one that annoyed him the least, so not one of them zoggin panzees. You couldn't trust them as far as you can throw them. Slagface was able to throw a panzee pretty far, but the idea still stood. You couldn't trust an L'dar with anything. Then again, it wasn't really trust that would have influenced his choice. He was more choosing which of them wouldn't die on him right away, leaving him to fight two on one. Not that the fight wouldn't have been fun, but somewhere in his Orky psyche, he liked the idea of bossing some git around like a proper nob. And the longer he could do that, the more he'd feel like a real Ork again. He took a glance around with a scowl on his face, trying to weed out someone of worth to him. Spoiler: OOC (Sorta) Random select, filter out Eldar due to Slagface's personal preference. That or Temvero the salamander (@BadDo9 ) because his armor is green If anyone else is green, please let me know It might influence the decision. -Champions Gathering- Skud Skud stood there in the middle of the area, absentmindedly scratching at his head again. He just looked about, not a single clue what was going on. Skud wasn't good at things like talking, or thinking, or really anything that didn't involve using his Rippah Gun as some sort of weapon. Be it a club, or for its intended purpose. It was the only thing Skud knew in his life. The other thing he knew was if someone hurt him, then they were bad people. And he was supposed to crush bad people. Skud was really good at that. "Uhh" he groaned, continuing to scratched the top of his head, as if an answer would flake off at some point, "What Skud doing here for?"
~~ !IMPORTANT! Gameplay Changes ~~ Since this goes full-on PvP I considered some significant changes which will allow you to control your chars a bit better within combat. I totally ripped off @matt23 's system for this, you get 4 attack modes: All-Out-Attack (5 attacks with 1H weapons, 3 attacks with 2H weapons) Attack-Focused (3 attacks | 2 defense with 1H weapons, 2 attacks | 1 defense with 2H weapons) Defense-Focused (2 attacks | 3 defense with 1H weapons, 1 attack | 2 defense with 2H weapons) All-Out-Defense (5 Defense with 1H weapons, 3 defense with 2H weapons) Defense works the same way as does attack, except that each 1H success reduces incoming damage by 1 (crits = 3) and for each 2H success reduces incoming damage by 2 (crits = 4). Now what kind of will get annoying if not even frustrating is the whole point that the game is asynchronous, which means people can adjust their upcoming tactic depending what the person before them elected to do. That is why I won't allow edits of the attack/defense that was made. You can change your narrative and fluff as much you want but your actions stay so nobody retcons anything regards attack/defense. Addendum: Unlike before when a NPC died and their attack wouldn't count anymore, from hereon attacks actually will matter. If 2 players attack one another and let's say have 1HP each left and both succeed at least with 1 hit, both will die, killing each other effectively.
