Enhance as a banner that stacks with enhance, a fusion pistol with the stats of a fusion gun, life leech chain sword with poison, 300+ armor with 30 or 50% faster regeneration and -3 second regeneration delay, 3 stamina with 33% stamina regen. They could make it interesting, but that's HIGHLY unlikely.
the picture you posted has a power sword. I was going off the concept art and it looked like you were trying to correct me. Either way I think we can agree its incredibly underwhelming considering what wargear Autarchs actually have access to.
Waaaait a second Eldar get their HQ unit as an Elite? HOW DARE THEY I hereby demand they replace the Possessed with a Daemon Prince immediately! Sarcasm aside, yeah it makes no sense. Does beg the question as to what is going to be your actual warlord in the future then cos I thought that's what it would've been?
About as neat as the poor Possessed. That thing's a walking death trap waiting for a place to hand out experience to their enemies.
Which is regular troop in 7e while elites like scorpion, dragon and banshee are just regular spawns in ec.
I agree the possessed marine is underwhelming, but he's an elite. The Autarch is our HQ unit. If our HQ unit is going to end up as a more squishy ground assault of any other faction I think it'll be an absolutely massive disappointment. Imagine if a Chaos Lord ended up being about as strong as a the average Ground Assault, but with inferior weaponry in that they don't get a power weapon, a pistol that's a literal waste of LP and a mechanic that isn't even in the game yet. If all HQ units end up being on the same level as the average ground assault or even average veteran... well, it'd suck. A lot. If the ranger was squishy or whatever, that'd be fine because I don't expect an elite to be all that special now we've seen what the elites for other factions have been. Which begs the question why they would release the Eldar HQ among all the Elite releases. It wouldn't be fair if we got a super powerful HQ unit while the rest got slightly-above-average veterans. But it's looking like that'll be the case. Not to mention, the Autarch can have a lot of cool wargear, wings, power weapons, etc. But if we're going by the concept art we get possibly the worst possible combination you could assemble. ah yes on these VAST maps it would be impossible to track down a sniper. It's an elite, like a veteran you only get 1 spawn a map. Stalker bolters, Autocannons, Ace Dakkas can all be spawned as often as you like and would probably be of more use than a Ranger would be in actually capturing control points.
Q: There's a lot of confusion about Elites. Aren't these supposed to be upgrades over Veterans? A: They're not supposed to be power-creeping above Veterans, it's supposed to be your basic loadout and the Elite loadout. The store versions are all about cosmetics. They're not supposed to be full upgrades over free versions.
