The may be slightly bigger SM (not by much) but that will not compensate for inferior weapon on something that is SM bred and butter class (or its supposed to be). Oh when we are at it what is supposed to be SM niche?
Interesting, that could explain one of the reasons I don't like the scopes in this game. In fact, I find the scopes to be a waste of points (I get more headshots faster using the default aim). Unless I'm building a stalker bolter, I find the zoom is just too much and cuts out too much peripheral vision, while also making it more difficult to focus on the body part that I want to hit. Most of the time, I'm less than 50m away from my target so a scope becomes a detriment. There are a few funny things with aiming, like if you continue to aim, not-aim, aim, not-aim, aim, not-aim, your character would shuffle to the right ever-so-slightly (this was a couple of patches ago, not sure if it still does that) on account of the animation.
I always found the scopes here iffy, because they dont use the same turn rate as when your are hipfiring, disconnecting me from my gungame, now i also found out that when i zoomed in with a scope on targets i would often miss the head and had to re-adjust my aim, the scopes felt wrong but i couldnt put my finger on it. Untill i went to try out some scopes in garrision and found out about the focus issue, when i aim i like to be dead center to where i am aiming, not some random distance to the left, that gets progressingly worse the closer your target is to you.
Shooting in the back actually takes the longest to kill at. Especially since orks have what 250 hp compared to the normal 200 (thats a good thing) and from behind they are slouched over making headshots odd. The first kill was also a Veteran Unit because of the Elite Downed. Front on is much easier on ammo because headshots and for the most part I was being lazy because there was no way he was surviving really.
Not by much? Really? Our headshot hitbox is two times the size of yours if you could bloody aim then you wouldn't have issues with the bolter
You misinterpreted my post as a call for change; I just think the absurdity of certain things needs to be chuckled at from time to time or we'll lose perspective.
Just ignore him, I'm aiming for the head 100% of the time, doesn't really matter - bar braced heavy bolter, when the bolts fly everywhere. If only Quicksilver didn't have that stupid scope...
To be fair. I don't think your head hitbox is two times the size of anyone else's. If you have some information/proof that I don't, I'll obviously redact that thought. What I think is the problem, isn't that your head hitbox is larger, its that your head is basically in front of your chest. Usually when aiming at someone's head, it's a "risk vs. reward" deal, if you hit then yay more damage, but its also much easier to miss a smaller target. On orkz, when you aim at their head and miss, you still hit their chest/body. This means aiming for the head, doesn't come with the drawback if possibly missing more shots. Not only that, most people will aim center of mass, which is right where an ork head is.
Ah yes, I too enjoy relishing in absurdity...text carries no tone, unfortunately so it was hard to tell. In which case, please forgive my misunderstanding. This is precisely why I have a rule with my girlfriend: never argue via Text Message...things are so easily misinterpreted without tone. There's so many things in the 40k Universe too...like technically Plasma cannons would be blowing up 1/6th of the time if we went by tabletop. It would be hilarious. Bad for a pvp game, but utterly hilarious...teammates would see guys with plasma cannons buddies walk by and just say "OH HELL NO" and gtfo of the area.
