Are they gutting Orks on UAT?

  1. Orks should have had burnas a long time ago to be honest, I'm not sure why its taking so long really.

    Maybe they have something weird planned for Burnas

  2. That's my concern too, this thing's not known for its pinpoint precision so it kinda needs a decent AOE if it's meant to be used for anything other than tank-hunting.

    Then again it's kind of pointless trying to speculate on the devs' intentions since I'm not sure they know them themselves..

    You guys need to actually test what is on UAT before screaming the sky is falling.

    How is this change going to ruin Ork AV? Rokkits will still do their job in busting tanks but now killing infantry will be harder. Makes sense to me!

    Ace Dakka got more recoil and it heats up faster. Not a huge deal. Still the best gun to lay down heavy fire and liquidate some gits.

    Get a grip boys.

    oi dey already got da massive nerf on the PC and dey gettin anudder one. AC already is a worse gun statline to the AD. Dis nerf doh. Not orky...feels like Goto and Ward are writing balance changes

    @PrincessSkyheart I don't know about the UAT version, but the old Rokkit Launchas were very easy to use. Point the shot at their feet and get a kill nearly every time. So I'd understand why they'd want to make it a bit more challenging since it was arguably a better weapon than a plasma gun and people were complaining about even the plasma pistol.

    What was the direct hit damage for Rokkits before? 1400 damage seems really really good even if they nerfed the AoE... Which makes it seem to just "Not OHK" most target but rather put them as something like 10-30 hp.... Easy pickings for an Ork pistol.

    No clue about Ace Dakka as I'm not in UAT. So what's the problem? Does it take more shots to kill tanks now? Is it less accurate? I feel like for Rokkits, 1400 damage is an improvement without knowing more... That's 7x the full hp of a bare bones Eldar, which means if you sokkit any yokkit with a rokkit, that gokkit is fokkit'dt.

    Which begs the question, are we for or against OHKs?

    I don't like the look of this.

    In the context of things, this just makes orkz even worse. Why can the other factions field an AV that can consistently and easily kill infantry? It's not like they've it easy against orkz already when it comes to AV. The trukks can't fire back at them, while they can roadkill as eldar or fire back as csm/lsm with ease.

    Ace Dakka, I don't know. Will wait to see how bad that recoil actually is. What they needed to do was to turn up the heat, not the recoil though.

    I'm personally for. I mean,the survivability in this game is mediocre at best. You go down in less than a second to pretty much everything, so the difference is negliable. The only concern with OHKs was the PC because of its massive radius.

    I don't have an auto cannon unlocked on my chaos on live so I can test it on UAT but have nothing to compare it to.

    EDIT: So just tested out the chaos autocannon and our ace dakka again and if you ask me ace dakka is better. But only by a small margin since it does a tiny bit more damage. Other than that they're exactly the same.

    Takes 28 continous shots to overheat and the recoil is similar to if you had a heavy barrel equipped on your shoota. Easy to compensate and braced it's barely noticeable.

    Anyhoo..

    Quite a few people seemed to be avoiding dying on the feet-based rokkit by rolling at the correct time (especially if they rolled backwards - that put them in a position out of the rokkit's explosion and to practically freely shoot/close with me while I tried reloading or took out the pistol) but I didn't generally get into many duels like that as I kept running around and bombarding vehicles rather than people, changing position often seemed to keep people from finding me. So I'm propably not the best source on that.

    The AOE damage is what's supposedly getting nerfed to 300 which would kill someone who's not added any health or armour though I guess other unhurt Orks will now survive an "accidental" blast too.

    Not sure how much it's going to affect cases of being rokkit'd in a duel if the AOE still causes stagger because, like you said, a staggered and wounded victim would be easily picked off by the Ork's pistol.


    As for the issue of OHKs, I only was irritated by it when it was used to spawn-camp.
    Other than that, I don't mind getting OHK'd, but I can't speak for others.
