First of all, i'm not a son to you, son. And i'm not new to the game, i've been playing it since eldars weren't even implemented. Second, the objective is unachievable because you cannot prevent a rhino with 2-3 dedicated meltaboys blocking your precious tank and beating the crap out of you with all your tank personnel.Even if all your team Third, 5 players manned predator on the most maps means that about 20% of the team do nothing significant - they're not defending points, they're not capping points, they can be easily evaded, they're basically useless for the team. Examples are Olipsis map, Pegasus map, Blackbolt defence. Every experienced player knows it and thus not uses tanks often, and you should know it since you're trying to act here as an experienced player. Moreover i never seen your fellow MYST players sitting constantly in tanks, but i'm constantly watching how they use fire dragons. That's why your post smells with hypocrisy.
They are doing both, well trying to anyway. There is a whole heap on new stuff coming that is going to effect things in a big way. You can't really work on balance without seeing how that new stuff is going to effect things.
I've actually done this with each of the races. The only caveat was I didn't stand next to the vehicle always, I also drove it around and used it to ram other vehicles, and I've done it with all 4 races. Orks I could average 1500 xp or so with the old handling, haven't tried it with the new handling yet LSM/CSM ballpark of about 2500 per match. Sometimes higher if I picked up a gunner that rode with me Eldar anywhere from 3-4k. Roadkilling is way too easy, and damn Eldar are easy to rack up kills with. I cleared Rank 1 with my first match of manning vehicles
Unless you did your whole approach directly in the sponson gunner's blind spot, this is the tank crew's fault. Either way that's pretty impressive. I don't think people realize that you actually only need 4 people to fully man a Pred because switch left to right sponson is really really fucking fast
So it took 2-3 players and a rhino to kill your tank? sounds like a valid tactic to me. You do realize you don't have to be close enough to the point to receive the defender xp to actually defend a point... right? I can promise you MYST uses their vehicles...effectively I might add. I've been killed enough times by them to know that.
The don't balance. They got 2 dices. The first one got "Marines, Chaos, Orks, Eldar, Tyranids, Try again" And the 2nd says "Buff, Nerf, Ignore, break, Nathan, Try again" And according to this they do balance. Problem?
I don't think the guys making new stuff are the same who code the game mechanics. Surely it doesn't seem like they're doing much to balance the game. A bigger effort is needed.
This is back in the day when there was a KDR visible, but I just want to point out how effective tanks can be if you know what you're doing: Yes, that's a 54 to 1 KDR. On Olipsis. And a victory. If I had other people in the tank with me this game, it would have been utter murder.
The Predators rarely actually prioritize a target until it is too late. Some times the best approach is directly from the front when the Autocannon is engaged to the sides.
