Never underestimate butthurt from people who felt out of information loop, didn't bothered to get themselves updated on the game they have put their money on and had overblown expectations. Also, for pretty much every game community there is a specific group of people who hate the game, vomit bile constantly, have unending verbal diharrea for YEARS and don't even PLAY the game. They are just too pathetic to move on and find a game they would enjoy instead, thinking they are some kind of martyrs protecting the world of gamers from evul companiz.
its all about balance, those toxic people katitof mentioned are but a fraction of the yes men we got in this community. both are wrong. but i think the fanboys are doing far more damage. we got maybe 3-4 people here like katitof described.
Only thing most "fanboys" are guilty of is trying to keep the community upbeat and playing the game and realizing the good aspects. It's not like we don't know things have fallen short or should be better. There's just nothing we can do about it and we already KNOW the Devs know. I say we because, apparently, I'm a "fanboy"(because hey, I'm enjoying myself). Like..there's no way the Devs don't know their game isn't running optimized well yet. They know, we don't need 30 threads about it. If people really want to help submit a ticket with computer specs, not a thread.
Yes you see this everywhere and I will never understand it. I would never waste my time discussing or playing a game I don't enjoy. I mean it's rare I buy a game I don't enjoy in the first place since I try to inform myself as well as possible before purchase, but even if I ended up not enjoying a game, at most I would give it a poor review and then move on with my life. There's a very weird and unhealthy obsession some people display when it comes to games and there is a big difference between enjoying a game, but trying to have a reasonable discussion on how to make it even better, and just tearing it to shreds and being insulting to people who actually play it and like it.
Heheh, it's funny that some think 'people' can kill the game, how? Can you explain this in detail to me? Maybe by writing bad reviews, but why are they writing them and so many of them? Oh I forgot, because they are uninformed and trolls...and want to kill the game ofc, just like Angry Joe for instance. The only thing that can kill EC is BHVR by making it bad - simple, it's already happening actually, people just react to what they see and can't be blamed for this. I also agree with Zhull that white knights are not helpful...in anything, by praising devs for doing shit they only strenghten them in their undeserved bliss (Stalin called such people 'useful idiots', no matter how hard you persecuted them instead of rebelling they helped the opressor - a bit far fetched metaphore but you get the picture ). Criticism is always much healthier, even harsh one, this is the foundation, good things can only be based on truth no matter how painful it can be, never on lies. It's better to try to make your addicted friend aware that he's killing himself instead of lending him money for another fix, even if it involves being brutal. And now back to business: Straight forward mode on. Heroes\Elites - when ? 1000 items - when? Player driven campaign - when? I heard some pretty words from Nathan today but he didn't adress the real issues ppl are asking about, why, don't they have plans, have they forgotten or are they absent minded?
wrong. the only thing you do is annoy people who are trying to blow off steam, im talking about new players who complain about some things in a civilised manner. last thing you wanna see is some person going: well its fine for me so no idea. thats infuriating. So charging 50 bucks with an ingame shop at current prices....its all good right? people like you must be the wetdream of every moneygrabber out there. 'oh well, nothing we can do.' 300 threads as far as im concerned. you dont get to decide that. anyone who's forked over cash for this game and has a shitty experience can make a thread about it. just deal with it. now you'd best be constructive and ofcourse submitting tickets with as much info is helpful aswell, one does not exclude the other. for example, my personal stance: today its unplayable for me, but i did play it earlier with acceptable latency so i wont make a big deal out of it. its a minor irritation. i also havent complained about the eldar and its perceived OP state right now, because I expect the balance to change several times, some in my CSM advantage, some to my disavantage, to be expected. Those RTC prices for example should have been changed by yesterday already. It's not making the game and its devs look good.
